Honestly, the hostess was delightful! A sweet little lady with a very bubbly disposition. With that being said, this was my first time ordering here. The Mongolian Beef was pretty good. The sweet and sour chicken was very bland, definitely the most bland I have ever had in the city. I'm pretty sure the chicken fried rice comes from the Costco frozen food isle (not even joking)....and the eggrolls....Idk if they used old ingredients or resold old eggrolls or what, but they definitely tasted tainted or something...like it was cooked in a super dirty pot or something. It looked all dirty grayish (nothing like I've ever seen before in an eggroll) on the inside and tasted like a dirty rag. Maybe that's just how they do it. Idk. I was overall...

I've been coming to Soon Lee for 15 years since I was in high school, it was amazing and perfectly priced then and the owner, the woman whose name I've never learned, was so nice and friendly and just a genuine pleasure every time we went in. I recently moved back and everything is better than I remember. Their egg rolls are top tier - exactly what you think of when you want an egg roll. Really, that's true of everything on the menu. There are real vegetables in every single dish, not on the side and not just broccoli. Just expect an extra wait time and be kind because it's clearly just the owner and maybe one other person in the back running the whole restaurant and they're just amazing. Food was over $45 just to be thrown away. The sweet and sour chicken sauce was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it marinated in an unwashed pot full of mold and chemicals. The fried rice was really good but barely got to eat any of it because the sauce was all over the fried rice. The eggrolls were atrocious. Not fresh ingredients used in those. Also the crab rangoons were nasty. Took one bite and threw out the entire thing, huge chunks of fishy crab and too much raw onion in it, never had crab Rangoon taste like that before, was served with that foul sweet and sour sauce. The general tso chicken was actually good, too many vegetables in it though and not enough chicken. Wait time was told it would be 15...
