Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Warren

I should start with the fact that we went to the Gratiot location north of 11 mile road. After pulling up to the speaker at the drive through we had to wait for over 10 minutes for the employee to attempt to take our order. He the informed us that we would have to wait another 15 to 20 minutes due to the fact that their computer system had just crashed as they were taking our order. Well we certainly were not going to wait. We drove all the way over to the next closest location on Hoover Road. I called and placed our order while we were driving from one location to the other. Our order was ready when we got there and was correct. The one thing that we both noticed right away is that the Hoover location is far superior. They use the correct amount of ingredients, which is to say that they use about 70% more meat and other toppings/ingredients. If you want Tubby's DO NOT use the Gratiot location. If you want a "REAL" Tubby's sub then go to the Hoover location. It's also worth mentioning that the Saint Clair Shores location on Harper near 8½ mile skimps on their ingredients as well. I've been a tubby customer for a good 30+ years and I think tubby is one of the better sub shops, that being said all that is true except this location... I don't understand why they can't do what you ask heres a stretch for you, everytime I go to this store on hoover I ask if they can grill the bread it asking alot I know.but I would be lucky if I get that one time out of ten normally its not and I really think its on purpose but today was just BS. Yes they grilled it just upside-down they put the crust on the grill. You can call and complain but the person who says he's the manager is also cooking so your complaint falls on deaf ears... I spend an average of 25.00 a visit and I visit at least 10 times a month .... but not anymore I will not be returning to this location anytime soon P.S That is just one problem of many at this location im just sick of the poor service that is given and let me add when I got there no one was in front of me and no one behind just in case Greg "manager" answer is if there really busy we might not...

Got a pizza steak and cheese sub and my wife got a steak and cheese, both subs were made with pan meat (meat that was prepared before we ever orderer) my wife's sub was so cold it didn't melt the cheese on it. My pizza steak and cheese was a steak and cheese with pizza sauce on top of the meat. My wife managed the tubbys at 14 and van dyke for around 6 months, the subs we received were absolutely terrible. And the store closed roughly 3 hours early, I tried to call around 5:20pm and got no response in the 20 times I called. I went back to the store to find all the lights off and the employees gone. They store closes at 8pm. I called the corporate office to make a complaint since the stores voice mail was completely full. Hopefully management addresses the problem with the current employees that were working this Sunday 5/1/22.
