First and last time going. I thought maybe this place would be pretty good since I seen car there a good bit. I finally decided to go. Walked in and was immediately not really impressed but wasn’t there for looks. I sit down at the bar area which didn’t look to be cleaned for some time or so considering there was still food where I was and looked at the menu. I am a major wing fan but after seeing the wing prices and it’s a complete joke on price, I said heck no I’m not paying that much for wings I don’t care if they may be good or not! I’ll continue to get my wings just down the road behind McDonald’s is a wing place called Anne Mays wings. They are fair market price that won’t leave you’re wallet/bank dry for just 10 wings. So I ended up ordering a burger patty melt thing, it was ok but honestly seems like I was at sonic eating theres. Until they decide to make wing prices remotely normally price to compete with competitors that’s literally like .5 mile down the road I won’t be buying anything from them. Also the bar tendered lady never even said a friendly word to me walking in or when I say down. Just handed me a menu and ask if wanted a drink and then walked off. No hello, hi how are you or anything. People who pay the prices of those wings don’t know wings in my opinion and would say...
Read moreOff I-65 northbound. Exit 282! Upfront honesty always. I have dined here 3 times before completing this review. My first experience was for lunch with a group of peers, two of which were regulars. I was invited and accepted the offer. No regrets. I enjoyed the service and food so much that I brought my son back the following day! I picked him up from the airport after spring break and told him I had a new eatery he needed to try out. I told him that the philly was delicious but he decided on the wings. I bartered half my Philly for a few wings. Win-win. He loved them both. AND...the sweet tea is perfect (yes I know sentences should not begin with AND but it's Google! Google Rule #1, never talk about Google). The young lady remembered me from the day prior AND my drink order as well. Unfortunately she wasn't there when I went this last time. She appeared to liven the place up. Service wasn't horrible. It just wasn't the same. I ordered the wings this time around. Kudos! I like a simple crunch on my wings and simple crunch I got with each and every bite. Parking isn't the best but it is conducive to the size of the eatery. This is great option for the area. Try it out....
Read moreLet me preface this by saying, we LOVE bar food. We love waffle house and hole in the wall diners and dive bar food. We frequent those places. The quality of food usually matches the price charged for it. However, here the food was okay. Not good, not great. Just your typical bar/pub/diner food. Everything was EXTREMELY salty. To the point it was almost inedible. I left half of my pimento burger and almost all of my homemade chips uneaten. $25.00 for 16 wings is a little insane.
I wanted so badly to love this place. The ambiance was that of a trendy bar with beer/liquor signs and string lights on the ceiling. The tables were old, sticky from previous customers, and very wobbly. The "leather" on the bench seats was damaged and peeling, but they were comfortable.
Our server Hannah was great. Very attentive without being a helicopter mom and very knowledgeable about the menu items. She was able to offer suggestions and give lots of details about the menu and mixed drinks. We really enjoyed having her as our waitress.
Service was superb, but all things considered $85 before tipping was a lot for something that should have...
