I decided to try this restaurant since I saw it had Indian groceries and I needed to pick up a few items. We arrived and it was empty. Definitely wasn’t a good sign. We went in to check it out anyways. After shopping for our items, we ordered mango lassi, butter chicken, garlic naan, paneer pokarora , and veggie samosa. Mango lassi was already made and sitting inside the cooler with other beverages. After a sip we noticed some chunky stuff coming through the straw. We thought it was mango chunks but it doesn’t have any taste. It almost looks like curdled yogurt pieces or some type of butter ?? I couldn’t finish it because of the chunks. they grossed me out. And then the butter chicken didn’t come with a side of rice, you have to individually order the rice. The sauce has a little good flavor but it’s hard to find under all the blandness. The rice tasted like it was either over cooked or was made a day or 2 ago. The garlic naan was thick and soggy. It was also disappointing i only got 1 piece considering all other Indian restaurants give 3-4 pieces for 1 order. I also didn’t taste hardly any garlic what so ever. It tasted like wet plain bread. The samosa did have a spice kick that came out of nowhere… but again.. no flavor. The only thing I did like was my paneer pakora. As it wasn’t a menu item and I had it specialty ordered. It was still strange though. But it was edible. As an Indian food lover … I would not recommend ordering any food here. It’s a waste of money and your stomach will not be happy. But the little grocery store part was cool. Make sure to check expiration though, I did buy my son a pack of chocolate cookies that expired in January. This place is not for me and will not be a place...
Read moreHands down the best Indian food my wife and I have had outside of South Asia. The first bite of the samosa convinced me that Bomy's lives up to it's name as Authentic Indian food. As a special treat they also have pani puri which, along with several of their other appetizers, are almost never available on the menu at other regional Indian restaurants. They have a fascinating system set up with most items available in small, medium, or large portions so you can really customize what you want and how much you get. There's examples of the sizes on the counter if you need help figuring it out the first time you come in. Bomy himself was working and was super friendly. He also let us know that they can do additional dishes beyond what is on the menu for those that are looking for them. They had a good selection of Indian desserts that are made fresh that we didn't get a chance to try on our first trip. This food warmed by belly and soul in a way that I have dearly missed. We're already scheming of ways to drop by on our way through the area the next time...
Read moreI am absolutely in love with this restaurant. I had a pretty extreme mishap with Door Dash today where the driver didn't deliver my food to the right address and ghosted me. I was desperate for food and with a packed schedule knew I wasn't going to be able to run out for something myself so I had Door Dash redo my order. Bomy's went over and beyond on service and got me my food just in time for me to get some food in my stomach before heading to class.
The food is AMAZING. I don't have a lot of experience with Indian food and only recently began exploring it. I hadn't gone to Bomy's yet but have been to Biryani a few times. I have to say, I think I like Bomy's a lot more! The food is well seasoned, well cooked, just spicy enough for my baby spice tastebuds and you get A LOT OF FOOD. I'll be eating on this order for the rest of the week and I"m already drooling thinking about tomorrow's lunch.
Thank you so much Bomy's! I hope Door Dash didn't give you too much grief. I'll absolutely be coming back for more and can't wait...
