Been going to Jade along with my parents since the late 90's. It's gives me no pleasure to give disparaging review: staff are nice...particularly the young lady who's doing a great job despite learning English Rant: The portions have become laughable over last couple of years even by recession bad economy standards...I get it: your costs are up too, I don't expect you to stuff rice so much you can barely close the container like, ole times, but when your customer opens up a small fried rice and she can side see blank space in box when squeezing the sides, and a $13 combo today that your customer can't even get two meals out of when in past , $ 9ish, it could feed two people EASILY, a line has been crossed, not sorry🤔; and the proverbial straw breaking camels back was last time we ordered, the fried rice tasted nothing like the old Jade Dragon when Judy and her husband owned it. I can understand subtle menu changes especially when trying to cut costs, but when you keep the name of the establishment new owners are obligated to give your customers a comparable product. We may not have Simply Ming, Michelin 5 star dining palates, but we know when the food is off after decades, in some cases, of patronizing your establishment. I was on the verge of ordering a combo but remembered the drastic Bidenomic portions last time I ordered, and wrote this...
Read moreMy daughter orders from this place a lot but for Christmas we had Chinese and Thai food but she has a soft spot for their pork fried rice because it has bean sprouts in it. So I went Christmas Eve to get the rice because they were going to be closed and the woman didn't give me my card back after I paid I kind of sat there the woman at the register was allowed They set a couple white next to me at a table like a pie table to eat and I was sitting right in back of the gentleman and a waiting chair It was the weirdest thing so I just turned my back towards him and faced the entrance so as if I wasn't eavesdropping. When I did get the rice I bought it home I told my daughter here she actually ate some that night She said it smelled a little weird I don't eat it so I didn't know. She showed it to me after she heated it up on Christmas and no word of a lie It was in the refrigerator overnight It had something as if it was pulling away for lack of better ways to describe it as if a kid had a boogie on his nose like something was wrong with that right so I don't know maybe the eggs weren't cooked totally so when she heated it up It got slimy or was moist I don't know but I don't eat their food as of now my daughter doesn't either so it...
Read moreI hate to give reviews below 4 stars to a family business that has nice employees, but this restaurant was not worth the trip. The staff is nice, the food is ok and the prices are fair, but the ratings are way too high. For a restaurant rated as highly as this, I expected really flavorful food, a nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms but that’s not what we found. The restaurant badly needs updating. It has several TV’s, which can be a good or bad thing based on your preference. Overall, it’s all about the food and what we ordered, although freshly prepared, just didn’t have much flavor. Soy sauce is a seasoning, but it shouldn’t be the only seasoning. If you are hungry, in the neighborhood and like soy sauce, this is a great spot for you, but we drove all over to get here and it simply...
