It’s unclear how this restaurant has accumulated such a high number of 4- and 5-star reviews so quickly, considering it has only been open for about a month. I’ve visited twice, and both experiences were unfortunately quite frustrating. On both occasions, I was told the wait time would be 20–30 minutes. However, my first visit resulted in an hour-long wait, and the second stretched to nearly an hour and a half. While I appreciate the effort that goes into running a family owned business, it’s evident that there is a lack of experience in managing restaurant operations. The menu is excessively large, pricing is steep, and the overall service model appears disorganized. For example, charging $9 for a four-piece falafel especially when the quality is average is simply not competitive, particularly when comparable falafel can be found for a fraction of the price elsewhere. It’s also concerning that while foot traffic seems to be declining, the number of glowing online reviews continues to grow. This discrepancy raises questions about their authenticity. My recommendation: simplify the menu, focus on the quality and speed of a few core Mediterranean dishes, and consider implementing better point-of-sale and kitchen communication systems. Until these improvements are made, I don’t see myself returning. For now, I’ll continue driving to Carmel Haifa in Morris Plains, which offers better value, consistent service, and authentic Mediterranean flavor even if it’s a bit...
Read moreI tried this place for dinner. It has potential & it's great to have this type of cuisine nearby; however, it appears the owners took on too much too soon. They had several tables & a ton of Door Dash orders. We arrived early 5:30. They had no ice; waitress had to go a few doors down to get ice. Service was good & place is decorated nicely. Cheese roll app w/taziki was great. Then things went downhill. My entree of falafel came out completely different than what was advertised. I was supposed to get 6 falafel; I got 5 & they were completely overcooked. It was supposed to be served over hummus but I got a ton of rice instead & a small salad instead of grilled veggies. My husbands lamb shish kabob was overcooked as well. 3 delivery orders were incorrect as 2 people came back & someone on the phone complained. Another table was missing something on their entree as well. So....I will give them another chance of course but they really need to execute what the menu says & not mess up orders so early on. Really think they should not be doing Door Dash/Grub Hub orders until they can handle it. 2 out of 5 stars...
