This is a really nice spot to park and bike or walk. Coffee potter is right here. Parking on both sides of the road. Racks is right here too (consignment clothing). Trail to south is level. There are some slight hills to North. Be careful when going over metal bridge about a half mile North of here by the industrial company. That bridge has one groove in it that my bike tire got into while riding and when I tried to turn a bit I almost fell over because my tire couldn't overcome the groove. After that bridge and one hill, the trail is pretty level for a long way. Trail is crushed stone and gravel, well kept and wide enough for traffic in both directions. Sometimes path has loose gravel or crushed stone so be careful not to turn too quick, it can get a bit loose or slippery under tires. Look closely at maps to find various parking places along the way if you're taking children and need to keep it...
Read moreSomeone said this is a "level" trail but we found that starting from the Highbridge Columbia bike trail parking it is a steady up hill for the first four miles that we did. Not a bad up hill. As occasional riders around 70 yo it was easy enough. Very pretty scenery with the river below sparkling in the sun and the trees just starting to turn colors (10/8/2021). Highly recommend this trail. One note -- on a Friday afternoon the parking was almost full so I am supposing weekend days...
Read moreMy wife, our dog (in a trailer) and myself rode from Schooleys Mtn Rd in Long Valley (acroos from Coffee Potter) to Ken Lockwood Gorge. It was warm and humid but path was mostly shaded. With our dog in tow, it was a nice ride. The path was nice and flat apart from that one dip in the trail. There were people in the path either walking (with their dogs), running or cycling.
