Pizza Italia — Restaurant in Washington Township

Meh. We decided to try this place last night after receiving a menu in the mail mainly because their wing prices are phenomenal compared to other pizza shops. Hubby ordered while I was at work and I picked up on my way home. The minute I walked in the door the "problems" started... 1-The guy making the pizzas was NOT wearing his mask properly (under the nose) 2-The young lady cashier seemed pretty clueless. She charged the guy in front of me for a soda he didn't buy and once that issue was settled she put the warm soda (it had been sitting on the counter for a while apparently) back in the cooler without wiping it down and at the front for the next person to grab a warm, potentially germy soda. 3-I did not know exactly what hubby ordered so I didn't really know what to expect. I was pretty sure he ordered the Meal Deal which is 1 large pizza, 12 wings and a 2 liter soda so I asked the cashier. She read off the order ticket but never said anything about the soda nor did the man standing next to her who I'm pretty sure was the owner/manager since he was the one who corrected the original problem with the first customer. So I took my food and left. 2 minutes from home (we live 10+ minutes away) hubby texted me to tell me about the soda - too late. 4-The pizza was tasty, I'll give it that but the dough was definitely undercooked. 5-The mega fries were made with fake bacon. I hate fake bacon! I can't stand the fake smoky flavor so the fries were not enjoyable at all. I suppose that could be our fault for not asking what kind of bacon they use but I'd be worried they use fake bacon on all the food that contains bacon - bleh, gross. 6-We ordered extra blue cheese for the wings, we did not get extra blue cheese. I did not have a wing but hubby said they were ok but he's not very hard to please. 7-I have no idea how but the meatball parm sandwich was terrible, absolutely no flavor whatsoever. This place is ABSOLUTELY unprofessional and unsanitary! I came here on my break to get a Chicken Ceasar Wrap and instead of French fries I wanted a side salad. I asked for NO DRESSING on the wrap because I didn’t want it to be soggy. After I ordered I then seen a guy with NO GLOVES preparing my wrap. He didn’t even wash his hands after touching other surfaces. I then asked the owner if he could wear gloves and he told me they don’t wear gloves when they cook On the grill (I don’t understand how a COLD wrap is from the grill) but ok…. When I received my wrap it was not even rolled all the way, totally unappetizing, and it was wet and soggy. I returned the wrap and offered to pay for just my salad. That’s when the owner got VERY defensive and told me if I’m not going to eat the wrap then don’t eat nothing at all. Soo I then asked for a full refund and he continued to argue with me about how the boss was going to be mad if he refunded. I told him the boss should be mad at how h they made that wrap! It's pretty rare for me to leave a review but this place almost never let's me down. Sometimes the french fries are crinkle cut, I assume when they run out of their regular ones but you think they would let you know over the phone) the Sicilian pizza is the best that I have ever had, anywhere. The regular pizza is on par with peoples pizza which for me, it doesn't get any better than that. The cheesesteaks are solid and the Buffalo chicken cheesesteaks are incredible. Do not forget to order the garlic knots...
