The first and last time will ever step foot into this subway , not sure if it’s the owners, managers who who it is but an older man and women were working ( in assuming married couple / owners ) particularly the man is the rudest person I’ve ever had the “ Pleasure “ of encountering . I stopped in with my 7 year old son and 12 year old daughter around 7 pm on Wednesday June 5th 2024 , we had every intention of ordering and eating, my 7 year old needed to use the bathroom , the man was no where even in sight at this time only the women was present making someone else’s food , I walked my son to the PUBLIC bathroom , that was NOT locked , nor is there any signs or any thing posted that u “ need to be a paying customer” to use said bathroom , I was with my very picky daughter who’s never even had subway before and she was trying to find something she wanted on the very expensive , and frankly not very appetizing menu , at this point it’s only us and the 2 workers in the store , she decided she wanted to eat somewhere else , in which we have every right to do , so we head to walk out and here comes the man asking “ what’s wrong what’s the problem?” I said oh no problem but we decided on something else , thanks anyway . Well this just apparently pissed him right off , and he starts flying off the handle talking something about how “ he knows “ people like me ?” Who come in to use the bathroom and then not pay “ ????? Ummmm first off sir , my SEVEN year old CHILD is the one who used the bathroom , not me , and it was very much unlocked and available for the public , if that’s not the case then why not put a damn sign up stating it ???? Or lock the damn door so people are required to then ask for a key and u can then let them know if this is said policy ??? Which is all what I said / asked him ? But I couldn’t really understand most of what he was saying due to a language barrier, I then said I would get a drink , or even pay him if it’s such a big deal , at which point him and the women are now saying “ no no no “ and not accepting my payment ?? But yet he’s still going on and on ? Making my poor child and myself extremely uncomfortable now all for deciding that we didn’t want to eat his over priced BS “ sand which “ ???? Never the hell again will we step foot into a subway . Work on your customer service skills if you’re going to own / work at a place like that ? Seems to me they hate their jobs ? Then get a new one ? Don’t take it out on others ? Horrible attitude and should...
Read moreGenerally I don't like to let a bad experience provoke an in-the-moment review. But as a frequent flyer and local resident I would urge almost any other establishment opposed to this one.
I adore the staff at this location in particular. The two I see most often are sociable and friendly and it irks me to have to use Doordash as I would much rather go into the store for this reason beyond -- the more personal control you have over the sandwich building process not withstanding.
The problem I feel is who else might be working and when -- Also Doordash, but that is an entirely different review.
Sometimes my food is of stellar quality, make exactly to specification and often even more so. A sandwich filled end to end with fresh ingredients. A good hearty pick me up when cooking at home simply doesn't fit my schedule. Additionally, the fact that they have vitamin water on tap is a huge personal -and biased- plus. I love me some sugar water.
However, the keyword here is: Sometimes. I never know what to expect; It is the sheer disproportion in quality that makes even the best of experiences surrounded by just as many unsavory ones. And, in my observation, the epitome of Murphy's law.
The particular transgression that had provoked this review was the breadless sandwich thrown in an overlarge plastic bowl in which was advertised as a salad. You go to Subway for their sandwiches. And their sandwiches were designed to be made in front of you to your satisfaction. Anything else leaves much to be desired. I am beyond the fringes of...
Read moreI would call this Subway…. Moody. I always leave a tip, yet the old guy is completely indifferent to me and show no interest in accommodating my requests. Things like, “can I please have extra napkins?” “I gave you napkins” “I know. You gave me two. I am asking for more” 2 more napkins slammed down on the counter and walks away. Is this really an unreasonable request? Or I ask for extra pickles. He put 2 pickles on the sandwich. I have to ask for more. One more goes on. It’s like pulling teeth.
One day he was incredibly friendly with me. Smiled, made small talk, very friendly. Then at the end of the transaction he asked me to follow the link at the bottom of my receipt to leave a review. He asked me to do it right now. It was totally forced and weird, but I did it, thinking he was turning a new page and changing his ways. Nope. Right back to grouchy Smurf next time I was in.
I get it. I’ve worked fast food. Maybe you are not happy working at subway. But BELIEVE me, this is no where near the worst subway you could be at, and all I ever see is pleasant customers trying to be nice to you. You should seriously appreciate that.
UPDATE: this subway is completely different now, in 2024. Once the old man left and was replaced by a younger family, everything changed. Napkins are out on the counter, you grab them yourself. 🤣 everyone is very friendly now and...
