First and last time going to Culpepper's. Very fun and lively atmosphere, coupled with a horrific customer service experience on 4/14/25, approx 5:15pm. After ordering my first and only drink of the night, a glass of water, I was then scolded by the bartender for asking for service when she was "off the clock." There was no indication that her shift was over, due to her introducing herself prior to my order and being behind the bar table conversating with an employee.
After the drink was served, I was then scolded an additional three more times, and after the final interaction, it was made obvious that customer service came last in her list of priorities while working.
I took the initiative to inform her that I was not aware that she was trying to go home, which resulted in an eyeroll as a response, and proceeded to walk out of the establishment.
Never got a name, but for future guests, I would stay clear of the short, blonde employee, with a black and white stripped cross-body bag - and especially stay clear when it is the near end of her shift ending, because if you were not given prior notice, I wouldn't be surprised if you wind up in a similar experience. Inexcusable and shocking...
Read moreGreat strong drinks, food not good they used to have great nachos. We got chips and little cheese and tomato with small amount of chicken for $11 nachos. The place used to be fun to go to for pool n darts. Used to love music to line dance/dance. There was only 6 ppl total in the bar on a Sat @ 8pm. All left after one drink. Waitress was great bartender rude rude. It could be a great place to go but it managed wrong. Regardless of Covid-19. Seems no one wearing mask while drinking n BSing. We were drinking/eating and playing pool ( making them money). We were told to keep our mask on. The place has gone down hill by management. That's why ppl go to Top Gun now. It used to be the place to go to... Local great good, drinks, and pool tables. They could open up 4 tables instead of 2. With 6ft apart They would make more $$$ from customers. Won't go back we will try again in a yr or so. Management changes...
Read moreFirst time impression just OK. Second time you be the judge; waited 15 minutes at pool table area tall tables, 4 adults to order. Another 15 minutes for a pitcher of beer and one drink. I clearly asked for 3 glasses, only brought 2. Did I mention there was 4 adults. When server returned with the 3rd glass a single shot was ordered. Nearly an hour later, 7 games of pool and all glasses and pitcher empty for quite awhile. We flagged a server over, who did apologize, offered no other consideration. Excuse given was; "We moved tables" Which we did , from one end of the pool table to the other with nothing else in between, to get away from the open door (cold wind) for the smoking area. Regretfully we went ahead and ordered another pitcher since friends arrived and it would go quick with the shot we waited for. Then took the party...
