Kep's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Washington

Went there for the first time and the first impression was very good!! Lots of space, wide selection of TV sports viewing , just the right theme for relaxing visit but that was short lived! Ordered up, sat back to observe, then came the food!! If it's one thing I hate more than lousy food/ Service is when the appetizer comes out with the main order!! Strike 1, food wasn't bad-I had the build your burger, wife had the Patty Melt Burger. She thought the melt could have been made better, and I agreed but the burger just about right!! Strike 2 came when our waitress-Heidi-started grabbing, my plate, asking if we need a box, and when she can bring the check!! Yes, 5 minutes after the food arrived!! I them asked her permission if we could stay a bit and watch the game-yes sarcastic humor. She stomped off, returning only with our check, and making light of her obvious inept nature. Ultimately, the place still had many people who weren't ready to leave at closing time. I checked the time and she was trying to get us out at 9:15. The other waitress that helped was very nice, and ultimately a great aid for the off beat Service we got from the original gal. Ultimately!! I'll probably go back but its nothing to text the family about and maybe, just maybe the staff should work on communicating better across the board!! Stopped in with family after a meeting and had a great time. They were able to accommodate us, 14 people, on the fly. Food was great! The waitress kept up with us and we really didn't have to wait for anything very long. We definitely kept them on their toes with our requests, nothing weird or out of the ordinary, but specific to each person. They were great! I would recommend the catfish bites, amazing! I had a tenderloin and it was perfect, not to thin and easy to eat. The Macho Nacho's are HUGE, it is a meal in and unto itself. The Taco Salad looked delish, I didn't have that, but the guy who did, did not complain, he left full and happy. :) , A couple split a meal, burger and Frips, and the wonderful staff split it for them before it hit the table. Bravo to the staff for that, considering most places would just slap an extra plate down and make you do it yourself. There were a variety of burger meals, I didn't catch all who had them, but everyone cleaned their plates and left full and happy. So for a Sunday drop in, Keps pretty much met the standards we all love in a restaurant. Great Service, Great Food,...

I visited about 3 days ago. When we got there we were seated, and appetizers/food were brought out quickly. However our waitress on several occasions would walk behind the bar and start eating and was taking forever to get us any refils or come check on her only table in the store at the time. When we asked another girl to get our waitress she walked behind the bar to get her and our waitress angrily threw her food in the trash, walked around the bar, while licking her fingers and walked up to the table and said "What do you need guys?" We were shocked and not sure what to do when she grabbed our cups to go get refills. When I went up to the bar to get clean cups, she acted like it was the end of the world when I told her it was because she was eating before she came to get our refills. Between her flirting with men at the bar, and being on her cell phone it took us almost 15 minutes to get boxes and another 15 to get our check. You would think if a waitress wanted you out of her section so bad she'd get our stuff to us quicker. Will not...
