The Blue Ox — Restaurant in Washington

Newly remodeled but same place as before. Gave it a chance and wasn't impressed. Bartender was more worried about conversation with her regulars. Didn't tell us it was cash only until after serving us our beers. 6 of the 10 or so drafts were out. The kicker was you think you would let people know if they barely have enough cash to cover their first order you would let them know there is an ATM. Nothing was mentioned until we were walking out and I let the people coming in know that it wasn't worth the visit and cash only. Then regulars starting saying how there was an ATM. Glad I went but not worth going back. Same bar...

I rarely post or comment on social media, but the Blue Ox has moved me to do so. The management and owner have turned a great local bar into a hot spot for our small town. Blue Ox has welcomed everyone in our community and doesn’t hesitate to give the best that they can. A huge shout out is due to lead bartender/ bar manager Shaun Edwards. Shaun’s a rockstar when it comes to planning amazing events, while at the same time making sure everyone’s taken care of.
