Washington Canal Park — Attraction in Washington

Canal Park attracts a certain crowd- families. It's a small park centrally located in Navy Yard. Here's why it's perfect for families:

1. Splash park: Enough said.

2. Pizza restaurant in the park.

3. Ice skating rink: In the winter, the space around the pizza restaurant turns into a ice rink where you can rent ice skates and enjoy DC's winter.

4. Green space: Plenty of green space, benches, and flowers.

5. Water: There are fun fountains.

6. Concerts/events: There's a small stage in the center of the park where concerts will perform on weekends. During the day, there's programming from work outs to yoga.

Decided to eat upstairs here in the supposed “green area” after picking up some local takeout, from ABC Pony (their Cajun fish sandwich is highly recommended). Green area not so green with all of the green brown and clearly not maintained with weeds abundant. Only benefit was wide open space with few people around so could comfortably dine sans masks. If maintained better-would add some stars. Wooden benches will definitely be rotten in coming years as can see clearly have not been treated and think another material such as Trex should have been used for better aging and wear...

City Club......was superb. Just fancy. Can't wait to go bac to dine with the Hoyt poise of society in from the DMV area 👌🏿. I attended Easter dinner with friends and the spread in the main room was massive. I couldn't think of photographing at all because it was just so massive and I was ready to eat. But I will say, be mindful of your surroundings even in there especially if you are taking a young/ impressionable child, as "ladies of the evening", that look like blow up dolls sitting in there...
