UPDATE: today 9/05/2022, Howl to the Chief just responded to this review posted on 3/18/2022. The response is not valid or accurate at all. The order was never delivered that day. We had to call twice it wasn’t delivered until the next day
We placed a delivery order yesterday afternoon Fri 3/18. We were called shortly after to be informed the Howl to the Chief was sold out of items in our order. We provided alternative item requests. Today Sat 3/19 @5:15pm, we are still without our order for Frozen Perishable items. We called the store to inquire if the order status. Both the staff were sarcastic and combative. They immediately cut us off and instructed us to refer to the text message sent by the third party company used. We explained that we did not receive said text message . Instead of being helpful they began to say that it should have been sent yesterday when the order was picked up. We reiterated that we never received a text message and it was never delivered. We then asked the protocol of what happens when the orders picked up and not delivered the same day as part of the order was frozen perishable. They then stated there was nothing they could do but try to reach out. We stated our frustration as this was over $60 spent on dog food that was not received. They then said it was picked up today at 2pm (contradicting of earlier statement). We asked that they call the third party company and update us with an order status, only to be hung up on by howl to the chief. I called back shortly after to inquire if they had called the third party company and they said, they did but no one answered. Walked in 2 separate times. A few weeks ago, two ladies were at the desk chatting and didn’t speak the entire time until I walked over to the counter. I went again yesterday 08/05/24 in the evening and the same thing happened except there was only 1 lady this time. When I walked in the store looked empty of staff so I had to look around a bit before seeing the lady at the cash register focused on her FaceTime call. When I approached the register, she still did not speak or acknowledge until I asked her a question. She looked a bit annoyed she had to switch her attention to the guest and pointed to the item I asked for..
I’ve been in customer for over a decade. Any place I’ve ever worked, we greeted guest who entered the establishment, especially guest that are new customers. I wanted more info on some of the products offered but I did ask because I felt like I was annoying the lady honestly just with my presence and needing assistance. I came to your store this morning (7th September) and the shop keeper didn't open the store until 25 past the opening time. I was stood outside with a group of others and when the shop keeper turned up she was incredibly rude and not only did not apologise for being 25 minutes late, but also did not allow anyone into the store for while or start to invite people in. When we were eventually in the store, someone was there to pick up medication for a dog and the shop keeper was incredibly rude to the man, my wife and I were just in total shock.
You lost out on at least half a dozen customers who came and went because your rude employee did not open up the shop on time, and I for one won't be going back if I ever see her in there again nor will anyone in the foster animals group I am in. Customer service in the pet industry is so important, no one is going to take their dog into a store with a hostile shop keeper smelling of weed and blasting music with profanity.
