On July 13th and 14th someone unknown to me used the McDonalds app to purchase $87 worth of meals on my payment method. I hadnt lost my debit card, or my phone , nor did I give permission to anyone to make purchases. This McDonalds is more than a 90 minute drive from my area. I called corporate McDonalds and the Rochester Location notifying them of the incident of which both said there was nothing they could do to help that I would have to work the issue out with my bank. The orders were very specific, so I asked the manager if they could review their camera for the time the orders were picked up— one of the orders had double beef and bacon and they added everything else to the burger that they could (not a regular meal) Still they said they couldnt help. McDonalds was the only charge exceptions to my card, but I still had to go thru the trouble of cancelling my card and waiting two weeks for a new card, plus the charges caused my IRS tax payment to bounce. I am still out the $87!! . no one seems to care and I don’t have any kind of record of reporting issues like this to my bank. Thank you megamillions mcdonalds for not making my day but instead rewarding some crook who could care less that I couldn’t afford the loss. I haven’t shopped at McDonalds much in last couple of years, but right now I am so disappointed, I can’t even force myself to go back again. The APP has security flaws point blank- and I am not the only person that has been...
Read moreNow tonight I was in the drive-through line at1045 Me and the band behind me has been waiting there for like 10 minutes and then when the drive-through still had an hour and 15 minutes to be open they came out and said they’re getting slammed that we’re closing early. No I don’t think the owner knows it because getting slammed means you’re making money!!! so now I drive away with crying kids That were at McDonald’s for at least 10 minutes before we were told to go. I get being slammed with things taking a while just tell your customer Before they order “just let you know we’re really behind if you wanna wait?” I am not sure what the deal is with the fast food places in grand mound Jack-in-the-Box close it all the time early and Burgerking too.. Now months later, it won’t let me do a new reviews so I’m gonna edit this one. I’m at the drive-through at two after 11 and since the Internet says this restaurant closed I believe that’s why the app wasn’t working but they would not honor it I want to use my app after they asked me what my numbers were and it just said this app cannot be used at this time and it all it was was for a medium french fry and they said oh the app is not good after 11 I don’t think so I backed out of the drive-through. Why wouldn’t you just honor a freaking medium fry them...
Read moreWe visited this location on a recent road trip up the Olympic Peninsula. We ordered through the app for curbside pick-up, but ended up going in to use the bathroom.
Our order was made really quickly and the very friendly server obviously took the time to make sure our order was correct. She let us know exactly how she'd packed the order, and made sure to give us straws, and ketchup without us having to ask. I'm glad the "save the turtles" fad seems to have mostly faded into the past and places are just giving you a straw that's made out of a material that's actually capable of getting wet again.
The passing lot was decently sized and they had 4 curbside pick-up spots right out front numbered 2-5, so I assume there was a #1 spot somewhere closer to the drive through.
The bathrooms were clean and in good working order, and they had a soda machine inside that actually worked when I went to refill my cup, which was nice. A lot of the stores have started removing the soda machines from their dining rooms, which probably saves them some money, but makes getting a refill a hassle.
Overall, this was a pleasant location and a nearly perfect example of a McDonald's. We Didn't end up this way too often, but we will definitely stop again...
