I ordered orange tofu, veggie spring rolls, and French fries. The spring roles look scary. I'm not sure what that is that is burnt inside of the ends. I know for sure that if the inside cabbage and vegetables (since veggies are full of water) is burnt then the outside should be too (since dough has less water in it than the veggies). Even if it isn't something weird in it, it is burnt! It is not okay to serve people burnt food any more than raw, undercooked food. I found a short strand of hair in the rice. The French fries had a decent texture but there were burnt pieces in it. The orange sauce taste like orange juice mixed with oil and water. I have to say I'm torn about this. I usually find I can't taste orange in the orange sauce at places which not good either. But with this, it is all orange and no seasonings. It could use some celery, ginger, and peppers. Not much salt in it but the orange rinds are still in it. I do like that. This is the food that gets cooked when training someone new or after the manager goes home for the night. I wonder if they actually stopped using seasonings because the people there don't like it or to save money. Maybe they have the foundational knowledge of these dishes but not the whole recipes... Sigh. Maybe, I was looking for Thai style cooking...
Update: I did eat the spring rolls after opening and investigating. The veggies inside were burnt because the wrapping dough broke open. I still say they should have redone them. I happen to like a little overdone for my food, and the extra oil penatration. However, that adds a lot of fat and calories. Most people aren't vegan like me. I have to get my Valarie's up. Those extra calories are not good for...
Read moreI ordered my food at 10:30 for delivery.... a whole half an hour before closing... less than a mile away... at 11:34 the driver pulls up and refuses to bring my food to the door while blasting music and smoking cigarettes. I asked him “usually they Bring the food to the door... after an hour of waiting you’re going to make me come outside??”. He then cussed at me in Chinese and made a rash u-turn in the middle of my small block, almost hitting a parked car and went to speed off. I yelled out “hey, I already pre-paid for my food” and he screeched to a stop and said “if you want food you come outside”.... so I said “well I don’t have any shoes on. Let me go get some shoes” and he yelled “No! Come out now”. I said “let me get some damn shoes” and do you know this MF threw his cigarette out the window at me and flicked me the middle finger and sped off. So no food for me and $15 down the drain and an hour of my life of waiting that I’ll never get back. Their food was good but if I ever go there again or see that Chinese man again........ the disrespect might be returned. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO...
