An Invitation to Accountability and Reflection

Temple Mother Earth is a space that offers healing services and plant medicine ceremonies, and I recognize the dedication and intention that goes into the work they provide. I also want to express my gratitude for the spaces they’ve created and the healing they aim to foster.

That said, as someone who has spent over 13 years engaged in community building, conflict resolution, and strategy development, I believe it’s important to name where harm can occur, even unintentionally.

Collaboration requires trust, accountability, and alignment. My wife and I have attempted several times to connect and collaborate with Temple Mother Earth, offering proposals, discussions, and space to build a foundation of mutual respect. We have also been open and willing to assist and volunteer whenever possible. Unfortunately, every time we’ve shown up, we’ve been met with confusion, a lack of trust, and an atmosphere that hinders true intentional collaboration.

As people who are also healing and navigating neurodivergence, it’s important to recognize that such an environment can feel unsafe and ungrounding. Healing, especially spiritual healing, is a delicate process that requires a gentle, gracious demeanor. When juggling too many things or being unable to be fully present, it can unintentionally harm the atmosphere and those who come with open hearts and offerings.

Often, when we are in our own space of awareness, we may not see the ways our actions or energy affect others. This is why listening is so important. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that hearts have been open to receiving our feedback or presence because of unresolved trust issues.

My wife and I value community deeply, but we have observed dynamics here that feel misaligned with the integrity required for sustainable and ethical work. For example: Scarcity and Competition: There’s often an energy of comparison or competition rather than genuine collaboration. This creates barriers to trust and connection.

Lack of Accountability: Despite our attempts to address concerns or have intentional conversations, there hasn’t been space to reflect on or address these dynamics.

Pricing Practices: The cost of ceremonies at Temple Mother Earth often feels inaccessible compared to other spaces providing similar work. Healing should not be a privilege reserved only for those who can afford it.

I want to make it clear that these observations are not a reflection of the individuals’ worth or intentions. I believe the team at Temple Mother Earth is doing their best with the tools and resources they have.

However, our communities deserve healing spaces that go beyond survival and scarcity, where collaboration is built on trust and a willingness to address ego and misalignment.

This is not about malice—it’s about love for our community. I share this review not to attack, but to invite reflection and growth.

My hope is that Temple Mother Earth will take this feedback to heart, not for anyone else, but for themselves. We are all worthy of collaboration and connection that honors the work we do and the communities we serve.

Temple Mother Earth, I love you....

✨ THE Sacred Sanctuary for the Soul ✨

Temple Mother Earth is not just a sanctuary…It’s literally a frequency. From the moment you step through its doors, you’re wrapped in a wave of warmth, love, and spiritual resonance. Temple Mother Earth is truly a living, breathing temple where community, consciousness, and cosmic connection converge.

The energy is vibrational medicine. You’ll feel it in your body, your spirit, your bones. There’s an undeniable pulse that radiates through every altar, every sacred object, every intentional detail. The space itself is alive, infused with ancestral wisdom and celestial grace.

What makes Temple Mother Earth truly extraordinary is the heart of its community and the soul guiding it all—Dr. Camara. She is a radiant force of nature: wise, nurturing, deeply tapped in, and full of power and presence. Her leadership is intuitive and grounded, weaving the mystical with the practical in ways that feel both otherworldly and deeply human. She doesn’t just guide, but she genuinely holds space with reverence and fire, inviting each person to remember who they are and why they came.

The TME community is vibrant, active, and full of heart. From healing circles to metaphysical teachings, from potlucks and gatherings to sacred ceremonies, there is always something unfolding and ALL beings are welcomed. There is a strong familial current flowing through the temple, where strangers become kin and spirits are lifted together.

Temple Mother Earth is a portal. A refuge. A vibration. A home. If you’re seeking genuine spiritual connection, collective uplift, and the magic of being held by a tribe of awakened souls, this is the place to visit.

Prepare to be transformed.

Thank you so much, Temple Mother Earth. I am eternally grateful to have found refuge in your sanctuary....

I was born and raised in the DC area but moved to South Florida two years ago. Florida is a hub for sacred ceremonial practices, and I quickly realized that much of what I’ve discovered here was missing from my experience back home.

On a recent visit to DC, I went online to see if I could find something to nourish my soul while I was in town.

That’s when I found Temple Mother Earth.

I attended the Sacred Tobacco Harvest Ceremony (held only twice a year), and it was everything my soul needed! It mirrored the same energy I’ve found in my South Florida practices: warm, intentional, authentic, expansive, and grounded—a space that honors the human experience while expanding consciousness. THIS is exactly what the DC area needs more of!

Dr. Sonatta and King James are extraordinary people creating a sacred space to heal the land and community. Their energy is infectious and a beautiful reflection of love, expansion, and unity.

I feel so blessed and grateful to have aligned with them, and I’m already looking forward to returning in December for another event. They’ve transformed my understanding of what it means to come home, welcoming me with open arms.

I hope this review serves as an extension of the warm welcome they gave me. If you’re seeking to connect more deeply with yourself and others—and be part of a ripple effect of change—I hope my experience inspires you to take that step and connect with temple...
