The food is all vegan. And yet it's very tasty. They have a variety of simulated meats like mock chicken wings. Almost like the real thing. If you are a meat eater, you will still find something you can eat. The sauces could be a little bit better. Get a large portion since it's $1 more although there are no prices posted so you'll have to ask if you're curious. There is a back patio that is nice on a sunny day. The front only has a few tables in the front window by the ordering counter. You can park on the street for free which is nice in that area since it's often $2 an hour. It's mostly carry out so even if you eat there, you'll get a carry-out container which is no big deal. Plastic knives and forks. They have free filtered water that is self service. If you've been to nuvegan, it is similar to that style. Very very friendly and attentive staff. There's a health food store directly next door so you can shop for items for your home. Nice! I...
Read moreSenbeb is one of my sister's kids favorite vegan places to eat. Nice folks. They have a decent menu. Prices are average although there are a few things over priced. I got the Lemon Shrimp. The order had 3 pieces of shrimp, (small like regular medium shrimp), collard Greens, (very good), Macaroni and cheese (dry, could use some help). I was surprised that the shrimp was good. No lemon flavor, the look and texture was good. The meal wasn't worth the $11.95 I paid for this. The funny part, the young lady at the counter advised not to get it. If I had a big appetite get something else worth my money. Another downer, they will run out of an item without notice. We called in our order. I wanted Lasagna. I arrived to pickup our order. They said almost ready. After 20 min the cook said "we are out of Lasagna". It took me 25 minutes to get there after ordering, food wasn't ready. So the wait was 20 min before we heard "NO...
Read moreI used to go to Senbeb all the time esp when they had a raw food chef. It's been at least 8 years since going, so since I was in the neighborhood, I came through. They didn't have a raw food chef anymore, which is cool so I had their greens, mac & cheese, and crab cake. My girlfriend had mushrooms, and yams. Crab cake was ok, everything else was super bland and underwhelming. The same with my friend's food, unfortunately. The person at the cash register seemed very willing to do her job but didn't really want to be there. The food was pricey and I felt like it wasn't worth it. Bummer. Used to love coming here. It feels like they lost the care they used to put in their product. The tea was awesome though.
The gentleman working the register in the store next door seemed more friendly and customer...
