William's Irish Tavern — Restaurant in Washington

So, I also work in the customer service/food industry.. etc. AND it is not often that I complain BUT I was appalled by how I was treated by there "phone representative". So we picked up two cheese burgers, plus coconut shrimp. The burgers lacked the L,T,O that they are supposed to come with, my husband calls... confused.. saying it's cool as long as we didn't get charged for them. And I'moke WTF, into the background... double check the online menu.. and of coarse the beyotch that answered the phone lied and acted like there was a diff price for NO L,T,O. Lllliiiiiiiaaaaarrrrrrrrr. So I confront her, and she has no idea what I'm talking about. I asko to speak to the manager, his name is AJ, apparently. But he will not be in till 11:30 PM. Then I ask what his full name is , and of coarse home girl doesnt know. Well, chef, you did a GREAT job.. but girl at the counter... you suck, so does your customer service And you should be asha.ed for hiring someone to represent you so awful....

We have ordered takeout twice. The Fish and Chips is good. The Fish is great, but the "chips" are fries. For the traditionalist, it's disappointing although the fries are seasoned well. You get two really cripsy, very flaky fish- it's really quite good. And quite filling. The pretzel is gigantic and really good. One person in my house ordered the Belfast Burger and loved it. The only item we've ordered that wasn't great was the steak. It was a little tough.

We also had problems while ordering with items being out. They never have onion rings, and they didn't have baked potato on one order. For a pretty small menu as is, that shouldn't happen. But, with both orders taking place during Covid19 it might not be something that happens regularly.

It does arrive quickly for what is being ordered, so that's a plus.

I would definitely recommend it. Hopefully I"ll get a chance to dine in...

We were a party of 6, 2:45pm on a Saturday ordered food (grilled cheese and soup, 2 orders of wings , 2 cheese steaks and a pulled pork sandwich) and drinks. It took 30+ minutes for the first two meals to come out, the remaining 4 meals came as the first two meals were just about consumed. No water refills, had to ask for silverware. There were 4 other tables that had already ordered, so there must have been an issue with the kitchen. The manager came over 20 minutes after ordering to inform us that they were out of steak for the cheesesteaks and then proceeded to hang out in the bar vaping and watching TV. I would...
