Would give ZERO stars if possible. This review is specifically for the karaoke portion of this establishment. I cannon speak to the restaurant. I have so many issues with this place. Where to begin... the karaoke reservation system. There is no online system you have to call and make the reservation. This would be fine if there were any rhyme or reason to the system. My friend called over a month in advance to reserve a room for her birthday on a Saturday. They took her name and credit card info. She was never given a confirmation number or email confirmation. The recorded what day she wanted incorrectly, tried to call her ONCE, didn't leave a message (she didn't pickup because it was an unfamiliar number), then charged her for a 'no show'. When we showed up the next day they informed up that we didn't have a reservation and couldn't get one because all the slots were full. We then had to wait in narrow hallway where numerous staff members (including the bouncer, why he was even in the conversation is insane to me) came out, accused all of us of lying, and blamed all of us for their error. After about 45 minutes of back and forth we were finally given a time slot 2 hours later than our initial reservation with no kick-backs or apologizes. Prior to our reservation we asked if we were allowed to bring in a cake for the birthday. We were told we could but there would be a cake clean-up fee. Fine. We brought a cake, had to carry it around for that ridiculous 2 hour gap, then when we got to the room we were informed we were not allowed to have it and it needed to be stored behind the bar downstairs until we were done with the room. We were still charged the cake fee despite not being able to eat our cake? Not really sure how that is even remotely allowed. My fiancé misplaced his credit card at some point that weekend. The last place he had it was at the karaoke bar. He called them and asked if they had his card and if he could come and get it. After being on the phone for over 20 minutes, being bounced around to several rude staff members, they told him they found his card and he could get the next day. We drive 25 minutes out of our way to pick up his card only to be told THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT. I do not understand why he was informed that it was in they're possession when they clearly did not have his card.
Overall EXTREMELY negative experience with all staff members. We had a party of 20 people and everyone there was extremely disappointed and will not be returning. The staff are disorganized and were rude to us on multiple occasions. Will not be returning and will discourage anyone from frequenting this place. Don't waste your time or money. There are much better bars...

During my visit, I had the pleasure of trying several dishes that showcased the flavors and techniques of Asian cooking. The sushi rolls were fresh and skillfully prepared, with a pleasing balance of ingredients. The stir-fried dishes were flavorful and packed with aromatic spices and vibrant vegetables. The attention to detail in presentation and the use of quality ingredients were evident throughout the meal. And the noodle soup was the best!
The service at Wok and Roll was attentive and friendly. The staff members were knowledgeable about the menu and offered recommendations based on personal preferences. The dishes were served promptly, and the waitstaff made sure to check on us regularly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Wok and Roll also offers a variety of specialty cocktails and a well-curated selection of beverages to complement the flavors of the cuisine. The creative combinations and unique flavors of their cocktails added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.
One aspect to note is that Wok and Roll can be quite busy during peak hours, which may result in slightly longer wait times for seating or service. Additionally, while the food was generally delicious, some dishes may have benefited from a touch more seasoning or bolder flavors to truly stand out.

Read moreRead about Wok and Roll in a "Best places to eat in Chinatown" article. Given that it's a quick right off of the Chinatown exit from the Metro stop, I had to check it out. Apparently, they also offer karaoke by the hour. Interesting. When I went in, I wasn't prepared to be met with a code locked door and cut out plexiglass for take away. The sweet server came right away and opened the way to a small dining area. The writer recommended this restaurant for their affordable lunch, and prices were on point! Many affordable offerings were a refreshing change. They offer two dish lists, $10.95 or $11.95, and $1 to add an egg roll or soup. They also offer a selection of two sushi rolls and a miso soup for $13.95. Their full menu was also available. I ventured out on a rainy day in search of dumplings, so I was sad to learn they didn't make their own. They did have four men on the sushi line, which was tempting, but I'm a scent person and passed. Instead, I opted for the lunch of pork in garlic and added on the egg roll. It was a little shorter and fatter than most and filled with delicious cabbage, carrot, and pork. While I waited, the place filled up (2 PM), and they took a lot of calls for takeout. My entree portion was impressive for lunch. The dish was heaped with strips of pork, bell peppers, onion, water chestnuts, and a few chili peppers in a delicious garlic sauce. If you don't like a little spice, be warned. A small bowl of steamed white rice came alongside. I could've eaten this dish for days. Service: warm and friendly. Price: exceptional. Taste: Excellent. Atmosphere: nothing fancy, small and quirky. It was a great find from a recommendation that I completely agree with. By far, it was the most affordable lunch I had after 4 days in DC. So go check it out...
