Absolutely one of the worst places to eat, if not the worst. At this moment, I will never eat at Hometown Pizza again. Their food is never consistent, if anything, it is consistently bad. I stopped eating there about a year ago when I was in the Valley because of the bad service and food. Could not even get a decent cup of coffee at the time. Just recently moved back to the Valley and thought I would give them another chance, but after several of the worst attempts again, I will never eat there again. Too much for me to even try and say about the sloppy food service, undercooked fries, twice bad experience with a couple of hoagie sandwiches, one at this moment, just got a chicken ranch hoagie. The bread bottom was a sponge, picked it up, before I could lift it from the tray, everything fell out because of the soaked sponge bottom of the bread could not hold the chicken inside, trying to scrape it together with a fork, and a hair was stuck to the tray at the bottom soaked in what ever caused the bread to be soggy. That has done it for me. After getting other items before knowing I had to throw something away because it was not eatable and then this...I am done giving this place another chance to improve. It has been the worst eating experience I have ever had to encounter especially time after time. There are not many places to eat here in the Valley and this place i will not eat there again. If I could give it a Zero 00000000000000000 and not even a 0.01...
Read moreWe had heard they had a good salad bar and it was a great selection. Only problem was the iceberg and the Romaine had a little browning and were not chopped enough (which is a personal preference). We had the buffet so now, about the pizza. By the time you walked to your table, it was cold. It was also tasteless. I tried eating only the toppings only to find a prefabricated store bought crust. No wonder it was awful. If you aren’t making crust homemade daily, can you legally use the word pizza in the title of your restaurant? Atmosphere was extremely loud (the staff). At least 5 people running around for 7 customers and I kept seeing people waiting on to go orders. Very inefficient use of staff. And they were loud and seemed to have to asked permission to do everything. Two employees should have been able to handle this business effectively. The online menu had prices at 8.99. We were charged 13.99. For prices comparable to to quality pizza places in Oxford, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and would make the...
Read moreTried for almost a hour to place a order. Called four times was placed on hold each time for fifteen minutes or more. Husband decided to just drive up there and order our food. After he finally got our food (a extra hour due to driving and waiting and coming back home) I’m no pizza fan so I asked for a sandwich with no tomatoes open it up to see tomatoes instantly gave it to him to eat. Wasn’t even worth another hour hassle to wait for food. I’ve been in the food business before, I get you have busier nights. Maybe instead of Hometown pizza how can I help you please hold you should add in there i do apologize in advanced we are a little busy but can you please hold and not leave people on hold 15 mins+ for the four different times they’ve tried to call to place the order. Don’t add tomatoes if you’ve asked three times is your order correct and you have written down no tomatoes. Definitely was not worth my money or time waiting to not even be able to...
