East Gate Luncheonette — Restaurant in Waterbury

As always.... excellent customer service from staff. Even on busy, busy weekends with the place packed and it's standing room only .... The ladies have their excellent customer service game face on and tables are cleaned and bussed immediately by a friendly short clean cut, dark haired gentleman. The waitress we had the previous visit even remembered to inquire if I got the job I had interviewed for the last time she waited on Bill and I. I told her I did, and she SINCERELY congratulated me! On Sunday, 4/14/19 around 11am or so Bill and I visited. Our order was taken correctly, food brought shortly thereafter, food was GOOD, and we were checked on often. Awesome is the first word that comes to mind after finishing up a GREAT meal at this gem of a restaurant. I found this place by asking another shop owner in the plaza for a recommendation for a quick lunch. I ordered the pattymelt deluxe and was it good loaded with fresh grilled onions bacon and lots of American cheese. My nephew who dined with me had 2 eggs toast and homefries all for under $5.00. I will definitely make the drive back to Waterbury just for another meal from here. Oh did I forget how fast the service was. Food was great!! Very fresh and didn't take long on coming out. I went on a weekday and it was getting busy. Not overly crowded but that place is small so with 20 people in there, it seems like a HUGE amount. They should look into expanding into a bigger area to fit people more comfortably. Some people there were even bumping with others while walking out the door. The ladys working there seem to be in a rush too.
