I brought an unopened can of Zevia to have with my meal today. Before the waitress taking care of us could even ask how we were or say hello, she angrily told me I couldn't have the beverage. I explained to her I have dietary restrictions and cannot have the water there due to it being unfiltered and I have brought my drink to other restaurants with no issues as long as it was unopened. It was my birthday and I was there with my mom who planned to purchase food and a drink also. After explaining to her, she got very rude with me and basically rolled her eyes and I decided we weren't going to stay there if I couldn't have anything to drink and if we were going to be treated that way. We got up and left and she just said "fine". She states I couldn't have the beverage due to the "health code" and that it wasn't her decision. I don't buy that. I would've been okay to stay and dine there if she didn't have such an entitled and poor attitude towards me and my mom. My uncle's church is right down the street and we go there a lot after church. I will definitely not be back after this, even if you are just following the rules, there is a nicer way to handle the situation and act like a human being. Have some compassion maybe? Not everyone is bringing their own beverages just because they're cheap. Sometimes people have health issues and other dietary restrictions and are unable to partake in the beverages you have to offer. Won't be back here, lose your attitudes and learn some proper...
Read moreFirst review below is from January 27th 2024 3 stars The food is good. The chips and salsa are very good. My wife and daughter got the taco salad. There was very few toppings on them. I mean very little! If we ever go back, that will not be an option for either of them. I got the steak fajita, and it was pretty good, but not enough shells to eat your entire meal. My mother-in-law got a plain quesadilla.
The booths are small, but the service is good. The price is a little bit high for what is relatively cheap ingredients. For the 4 of us it cost me about $84. plus tip.
Note: they are very conscientious of celiac disease. Since my daughter has it, that would be the only time we would come back here again. It gives us somewhere local to go when she's in town if we don't feel like driving out somewhere.
This review is for March 29th 2024 This visit was much better. I have moved my 3 stars to 4 stars. The food was good, proportions were generous and fhe wait staff was great, too. If I had one complaint, it would be that the salsa was very watery. Almost like dipping your chips in a can of tomato water. I'm not sure if it was the bottom of the barrel that day or what? Besides that, we will...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place . It is close to home , has a large varied menu and pretty good reviews . There were good points . The service and staff were very good . They are friendly and helpful. The mediocre . I ordered the double Fijita's . The food was decent , but nothing special . It was the skimpy portions of the proteins that was disappointing . The platter mainly consisted of a lot of green peppers and onions with 2 tomato slices. There was very little shrimp and chicken or cheese . The guacamole was a little tiny carry out size and they deep fried the corn tortillas . They were beyond greasy and basically inedible .When I pay $20 for a dinner , I would expect that the dish would be satisfying and filling especially with so many Mexican places close by . The worst were the bathrooms . They are clearly in need of a remodel. They are tired and worn . This is not acceptable to me . Maybe we will try again , but with dozens of other Greek and Mexican places nearby , I'm not sure...
