Extremely poor customer service. I ordered items from Massis Bakery that was lost via UPS. And the owner had a hands up approach, basically telling my husband "Oh well! I did what I had to do!" He made me file a claim with UPS, who proceeded to make excuses and put me through a back and forth because they insisted that the merchant has to take care of it. So he finally did file a claim. And after a lot of back and forth with him? I finally just disputed the charge, as is my right. I never received any items, and I am out $322.32. And guess what? He DISPUTED the disputed charge, AFTER he told me that UPS offered him a check! So he is + 644.64, and I am out 322.32. Very poor thing to do. He is literally disputing a disputed charge, and making me go through all this and deal with a huge back and forth with the bank. Do not deal with these guys. I don't care what 'TOS' you put on your website, it is bad form and bad service to tell your customers "So what! I did what I have to do! That's UPS's fault!" This was the first time I dealt with UPS losing a package, so I didn't know any better. All the hoops he made me jump through were unnecessary. And the sniggering he did to my husband on the phone.. ridiculous. Husband: My wife would like to order from you. She didn't receive her package, let's make this right. Massis: I've been in business 30 years! Sorry! I did everything I was supposed to do! And how much profit do you think I make!
Very defensive, argumentative when he knows he is in the wrong. Massis Bakery has the working relationship with UPS, not me. I shouldn't have had to call UPS to begin with. And now, he wants to keep the extra money. That is a thief, and I am livid about it.
Look at my reviews people. I do not give bad reviews like this, and I've given thousands of them. This customer service was extremely bad, and the business owner is shady. Order at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Massis Market a few months ago, but I just remembered to share my experience. I went specifically to buy olives, and the staff recommended their in-house olives, which were sold in containers. I ended up purchasing two types: Kalamata (dark purple-black) and green Syrian olives.
The Kalamata olives were decent, but the green Syrian olives had absolutely no flavor. No one at home liked themānot even our guests. They were so bland that I ended up throwing them away. Iām surprised the market doesnāt offer samples so customers can taste before buying.
Overall, I wouldnāt recommend this place for olives. I should have just gone with factory-sealed cansāthey likely would have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took a suggestion during my lunch break because, I really had a serious craving for a hot sausage. Mind you there aren't many places that cook hot sausages anymore unless you go to a kiosk or a cart but, Massis Bakery is a great store because they have all fresh local and farmed foods. They have Mediterranean and international selections, international candies and baked goods, as well as preparing hot food while you wait. This is a big deal, a serious game-changer for me. This is now one of my new favorite stores. They are also family owned by the way plus, plus...and the sausage wrap is one of the best EVER! Thank you...
