Nightshade and Dark's Pandemonium Brewing — Restaurant in Waukegan

5+++🌟 🙈🙊🙊 Well, 🤫 it is a very eclectic establishment. It's got three different blended businesses. The liquor, the brewing, and the food! All good! Nightshade and Darks is an establishment that can remind you of some of the small city breweries, some of the ethnic type of breweries, and of course some of the best food around.

This is more of what you would see maybe in Chicago! It should be a destination. Unfortunately, Waukegan can't figure out how to promote the city and figures that a casino is going to be the end-all be-all answer.

Having a good time, spending your money on food, spending your money on some drinks, and NOT feeding the one arm bandit is going to enhance the city and not the politicians pockets!

My husband and I drive 45 minutes to get here and gladly do it. The service is always great and we always get the "flight to end all flights" which are their 19-20 beers on draft. The space is cool and it's a nice drive to the water if you're interested. They frequently have food trucks which is also great but if not you can get delivery or go to a local option. In the winter they have tons of little firepits and even table top fire decorations which are awesome. If you're not a beer fanatic, oppidan spirits is also in the same location and they make delicious cocktails . Overall my husband and I love coming here and recommend it...

What an amazing local gift! A former art gallery with an industrial decor turned into a multi space experience of delights. Food? Check our the guest food truck. Drinks? Check. Local brews or a creative cocktail from the distillery will do the trick. Music? Playlist of goodness transitions from big band to 70s to 80s new wave to contemporary. Take your drink to a sofa and play one of the stacks of classic board games or enjoy people watching while monster flicks, vintage tv light up on screens around the room. In short what a creative space. There are several different events on tap daily from paint and sip to trivia night....
