Asian Garden Waunakee — Restaurant in Waunakee

I do not believe these on line reviews. This is our second time trying Asian Garden with different entries. I wanted to support a local small business but I cannot support this restaurant. If I had one word to describe Asian Garden ….. bland. This is not your traditional American Chinese food. Egg rolls have no taste and are oily. Hot & Sour soup is pale beige and very sugary sweet definitely not hot or sour. Low Mein is bland noodles with no seasoning. House Chow Mein had lots of vegetables and meat but was again sugary sweet and blah …. I added so much soy sauce it ended up just salty and sweet. The main reason I cannot support this restaurant is value. We spent $50 without the tip and given the blandness and strange sweet entries it is just not a good value for us. With inflation so bad, this take out was supposed to be a treat. No one ate their meals and will most likely be thrown out. It’s not the quality of the food was bad, it just does not taste anything close to American Chinese food and we cannot afford to waste money when no one will eat...

This place is the bee's knees! Literally everything we got here tasted amazing! Since moving to the Dane county area 3 years ago, I have been searching high and low for a good Chinese food place, and this is it!

PROS: staff was extremely friendly and helpful prices were very reasonable portions were huge everything tasted fantastic inside was clean

CONS: the location is just off of the main road which makes it a little easier to miss, not even sure you could call this a con

Wow! Easily the best Chinese food in Waunakee, or the north side of Madison. Very economical, huge portions, and exceptional service, and massive amounts of fresh ingredients. Many of the items that are wok or deep fried aren’t overly greasy. Makes for a very good meal and will be the only Chinese food restaurant I order from. I usually do takeaway, but when picking up it was very evident the interior and kitchen were new, clean, and a pleasant place for a quick bite or lunch if I ever felt the need. 5 stars well deserved.
