Grace Coffee Co — Restaurant in Waunakee

I would be deeply hesitant about ordering any food here. I've stopped him quite a few times and the coffee is okay (oftentimes served too hot to drink which is I guess normal for some places).

However I ordered the Mexican Quinoa to go. It comes with a lid when you get it to go of course but as soon as I open the lid foulness filled the room of my office and although I tried to eat it I definitely could taste that the steak was off and trying to pick around it just doesn't work.

I'm grateful I didn't develop food poisoning.

It's too bad because this is a really great atmosphere with easy parking, but it would have been better if it was...

I tried it out for the first time yesterday and was not happy. When I walked there was no on one in sight to take my order. The guy who finally showed up was uppity and not helpful. ALL of the items on the menu are way overpriced, and they expect a tip on top of that! To add insult to monetary injury, the person who ordered after me (the same item) was served before me! Inexcusable! Stick with the family owned place in town (MNM's) that has been giving us friendly, affordable service for a long time. They have earned our loyalty. My weekly group will NOT be giving Grace...

I want to love this place because it's such a vibe but we've tried a few of the food items on a couple of occasions now its all been underwhelming and or unseasoned (I'm talking no salt or pepper). The steak tacos, for example, had unseasoned eggs, dry and overcooked, unseasoned steak topped with diced tomato and onion and guacamole (maybe premade - also not flavorful). I ate one and threw the other two away. Coffee is decent, service is solid and the atmosphere is 💯.

Maybe the owners should try taste testing and tweaking the menu? Either that or bring your spice...
