I truly ABSOLUTELY love, Love, LOVE this place!!!!! BEST COLECTIVO I'VE EVER BEEN TO! (I saved the best for last and 2nd best in the middle do you've gotta read all of this!!!) It has such a wonderful fun & friendly atmosphere to it. Tons of space for whatever your need are, whether just visiting, staying a while to work (alone or in a group - there's areas to find that are quiet where you won't be bothered & all the space you need), there's friendly people that come regularly, and will strike up a conversation if you want, outlets galore, of course free WiFi and great signal everywhere. There's outdoor seating, indoor seating, & even more unique - 1/2 of the building has garage-like doors for walls - they're all see through like a window, & even the weather is nice they open that half of the building up by lifting those garage-like walls up to create an open air space! It's so unique!! In there are couches, tables & chairs, counters with stools etc... It's great!!! I can't not forget to mention the great selection of drinks & food available as well! GREAT friendly employees too!! They also do a great job with supporting/promoting area fundraisers, helping local programs, and making sure people have plenty of space too put up small adds. Don't forget their rewards program as well. Now one of the best things for last, (In my opinion).... one thing that REALLY gets people looking at this Colectivo from off the street & distinguishes them, sets them apart from other places is this... All the way from the depths of winter to middle of summer is their HUGE outdoor gas FIRE PIT!!!! It it's BIG!! So cozy, & so realistic, nice & warm when you need it, & So relaxing relaxing too for anytime of year! Great meditation tool, now I do love your "real" campfire with wood and all but it sure is nice to go relax and not come home smelling like smoke. :-) It's got tons of seating around it too, BIG long benches, four of them plus folks can even pull up a chair. It's just fun all around! GOTTA GO SEE IT & EXPERIENCE IT YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

The food is decent, the coffee/drinks are hit or miss and very unpredictable as to whether or not they’ll be made well. I’m very confused as to why anyone would say this is a welcoming atmosphere because I have never once felt comfortable walking into this establishment. The employees are snobby. They act as if they’re breaking their own neck by answering your questions but I kept coming back because I liked the physical atmosphere of this place with the fire pits and larger space...until today when I waited 45 minutes for an iced tea with espresso added. I put my order in on the app and showed up over 15 minutes later at which point I found my bakery item sitting on the shelves with a ticket attached that only showed the bakery item listed and not the drink. So I waited another 10 minutes and when an employee walked passed I said “Hi I have a question” she looked RIGHT AT ME and then turned around and walked away. On purpose. These people are just plain rude. They always have been rude. It’s the culture here. A few minutes later I walked over to the counter and nobody would even acknowledge me. At this point it had been over half an hour since I ordered ONE DRINK. I get that they were busy but I just wanted to ensure they hadn’t lost my order or someone else had not picked it up off the shelf..? My god. I mean it’s not difficult to treat people like human beings. Finally I did get someone’s attention and kindly asked if they print off separate tickets for bakery and beverage and she said yes. But didn’t bother asking my name to see if they were still working on my order. Lol. These people just don’t care. If you’re that backed up then turn off your Mobile ordering so people can choose to go elsewhere. Or hire more people. 3 baristas to make drinks for 100 people is quite obviously bad math. Or maybe it’s great math for greedy owners.

7am, only 2 people in line- Clerk asked me 2x my name. I ordered one latte. I waited 15 min while they filled app orders. Then they set a drink out and called out for Karen. Maybe she really didn't understand what I said, maybe she thought she was being funny, or maybe she was just being mean? My name is not Karen. So I waited another few minutes before realizing that it was my drink sitting there getting cold. Cmon man. Couch and fire were a calming way to wait for hubby in surgery at Froedert, but probably not coming back to this one. *I know you have to fulfill app orders, but maybe you could have a different line that serves people who are actually at your shop? You turned me into a Karen.

Wonderful, casual environment perfect for meeting up with old friends, sit alone and ponder, study, hold a small business meeting, whatever your needs are! Colectivo offers a spectacular array of fine coffees and teas... some are pretty adventurous creations! I've been caffeine-free for many years now and they even have numerous choices for me in both hot and cold varieties. The staff is just amazing! Always perky and cheerful! They remember their regulars and, if you don't go there often, even your drink order when you're ready for that refill. Nice selection of healthy sandwiches and wraps! Pastries that tempt the eye and, of course, the tongue!! This Colectivo shop features an outdoor seating area complete with a fire pit for those cold days. There is a spacious amount of seating indoors with large, rolling overhead doors to let in the outside while you're working at one of the many computer stations. There is only one disadvantage to this location... the parking. Colectivo has a small parking lot that surrounds the restaurant but they are situated in a predominantly residential neighborhood. It's a tiny little business district where the other shops/restaurants don't have private lots, so street parking can be a bit problematic unless you don't mind a short walk. Be aware of the posted signs and parking restrictions. Wauwatosa's parking police frequent the area for violators. Again, this area is mostly comprised of single family homes... be aware of fire hydrants, parking too close to driveways and so on... the residents can call WPD, make a complaint and you may find yourself out not just the cost of a ticket but a...
