I don't know who is giving this place 5 stars. I've been there twice in the past month. Both experiences were horrendous to say the least. I promise never to visit this so called National Pizza Chain location again. The first time I ordered from there I did it on the internet... not an app, not thru a 3rd party... TOPPER'S VERY OWN WEBSITE. 6 minutes after I placed the order, their tracking website told me it was ready. Mind you, I ordered 2 large pizzas and Stix. Heck! I can't even microwave that amount of food in 6 minutes if I want it ready to eat. Unless I break down each pizza and Stix and had 8 microwaves! I called them to verify it was ready. The employee was flustered when he answered, even more so when he couldn't find my order. I was perplexed. I questioned him on how he couldn't find it... I just ordered it 6 minutes ago... and the website said it was ready. He then went on to say their network crashed and they were buried in back orders. He went on to give me attitude, like it was my fault for ordering when I did. I eventually picked up my order and met the guy on the phone with me in person. I explained to him how it wasn't my fault for the system crashing and that he shouldn't treat customers the way he did to me. He looked like a defeated employee, let down by his boss... TOPPERS!. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY.... again, order online. Can't find it. Employees letting others skip in front of me. Showing my phone with the order and they are looking at me like I'm crazy. Next thing you know, they find my order. The 2 pizzas that should be exactly the same... because that's what the deal/website allows, are not. When I question the employee... he says he`s going to bust me in my shit. His team lead basically gives me just as much attitude. Don't get me wrong.... these employee's were horrible! But TOPPERS is horrible for allowing it to continue. Both times it would have been nice if someone said "I'm sorry you experienced that" or "here's us trying to make it right".. Not once! TOPPERS WILL SCREW UP YOUR ORDER AND NOT MAKE IT RIGHT UNLESS YOU WAIT FOR IT!

Rather than apologizing and offering a resolution while I was still at the restaurant to pick it up (i.e. remake it correctly, offer a refund/discount, ask me if I’ll take it without onions, etc), they doubled down on their mistake. I opened my pizza at home to find that Toppers on State Street realized their mistake after cooking my dinner and INTENTIONALLY served me a (small) handful of RAW onions which were tossed on top after the pizza was cooked. They were then drizzled, boxed up and served to me like nothing was wrong. I called the store and they merely refunded the $1.75. Unsatisfied with this offering, I’m following up with this review. You may also notice that there is an excessive amount of crust with little or no toppings present. I’m absolutely fine with mistakes; they’re to be expected. Read moreI placed an order online. The tracker updated a few minutes later saying it had been accepted and would be delivered in 50 minutes to an hour. Later the tracker updated to baking and never advanced beyond that.
An hour and 15 minutes later I called to see where my order was. I let it ring for several minutes and even tried calling back another time. No one answered despite it being 2 hours before they closed. I was home and awake for several more hours. No one showed up with my order. I decided to leave it until the morning to call and get a refund.
I called and spoke to a manager. They said they would look into it and assured me I'd be given a full refund. He did not even offer me so much as an apology for the inconvenience.
A week later I called back because the charge had not been refunded. I spoke with the same manager who informed me the store manager would have to do the refund. He offered no explanation as to why I never got my order or why the store manager hadn't processed my refund in the last week since we'd spoken.
