Jackson's has good service and awesome food, but I was disappointed by the Brewer game shuttle service on our last trip. We went to game 2 of the Brewers v. Rockies series. Miller Park was packed (attendance upwards of 45,000). So understandably, the shuttles were very busy. My frustration with the shuttles from Jackson's and Thirsty Duck was that there were 3 shuttles and they were not picking up in consistent locations after the game. One shuttle pulled all the way up to the front of the line (as the attendants at Miller Park instruct them to do) while the other 2 stopped at the end of the row and picked up there. We watched at least 4 full shuttles blow by while we waited in the location we were instructed by one driver to wait at. I completely understand the longer than usual waits due to high attendance numbers, but it's frustrating when the shuttles from one location aren't picking up in consistent or predictable ways. Another driver with a his own private bus was kind enough to take a full bus of us back to Jackson's (he was tipped...
Read moreWe arrived at 8pm for a fish fry. They ran out of the perch and potato pancakes. I can understand that. It was getting late. Two people in our group ordered the shrimp for $13.00 a plate. They were served six small dried and overcooked shrimp. It was bad. Any descent cook with any respect for the art of cooking would never serve six very small overcooked shrimp for $13.00. The salads were of average quality. Three of us ordered beer battered cod. It was over-breaded and dry. We told the waitress of our displeasure with the food but she did not bring out the manager until after we finished. The right thing for us was we should have refused to accept the horribly expensive food, pay for our drinks and leave. That was our mistake. The manager took $17.00 off our $86.00 bill but that still did not make up for the horrible food. I rate this as Milwaukee's worst fish fry and I don't recommend this fish...
Read moreI used to enjoy coming to this place until a recent ' incedent '. A buddy and I bought one of their $8 pitchers and went out to the patio. Upon trying to order the second round the bartender claimed that we never paid for the first. The owner, avoiding the conflict, gave us our next pitcher reluctantly and stood by his bartender saying that my friend and I were in the wrong. We calmly asked that he check the video camera facing the bar so that he could see that his employee had made a mistake. He refused and proceded to be rude to us both. Not to mention that the bartender became quite snotty, making remarks such as, "You guys actually gonna pay for this one?" The whole situation was handled very unprofessionally, as my friend and I simply didn't want to be labled as liars or thieves. My coworkers and I will never return. Also, prices are high and food...
