Lalli's Pizza — Restaurant in Wauwatosa

Lalli's! How have we not found you until now? We've lived in Wauwatosa for 25 years and a friend just told me we must try Lalli's. I wish I could give it 10 stars. OMG it's so good! And they deliver (yay) And fast! Our pizza Friday night arrived piping hot and so full of sauce, cheese and ample toppings. Everything about this pizza is balanced and tastes and looks like it was made with love and care. I don't usually get sausage but this is the best Italian sausage on a pizza I have ever had. We ordered a 14" large pizza with black and green olives, pepperoni mushrooms and sausage. They use real fresh mushrooms (not canned). The sauce tastes homemade and so does the crust. Crust is not too thin, not too thick and stands up to the generous toppings. I usually go for center pieces, but with this tasty homemade crust I like the crusty edge pieces! And the Sicilian salad is the bomb- so fresh and full of flavor, high quality greens. Beautifully made. I wish we would have tried Lalli's 20 years ago. Well, we know now. Pizza is really good. Service is horrible. Called for gluten free pizza. Gave me half my order upon arrival. Had to ask for the second half. They then told me it wasn't ready. Got home. Gluten free pizza was not gluten free. Called them up, was told they were sorry I had an allergy. Asked to speak with Andy's (who I was speaking with-who is the manager) boss. Was put on hold and told that he had "just left". However Andy told me one of the Tony Lallis would call me back very soon. Did not hear from either of them. We enjoy a lalli's pizza every now and then but it took them forever to fix their 'Covid' menu (which severely limited choices). Now, if you call, the robotic answering machine repeats itself for some reason, followed by waiting on hold for usually quite a long time. Bonus: if you call when they're closed, you'd think you'd get a 'sorry we're closed' message. Instead, it's the same 'please hold' robot except they never pick up and you're waiting (and waiting and waiting). Here's a thought: For what you charge for a pizza, spend an extra $10/mo for a voice mail where you can actually have a human voice and where you can have a 'we're...
