Are there nicer bars in town? Sure. Are there better bars in town? No way.
This is a great bar with a great atmosphere. It's dimly lit, usually reasonably quiet (as bars go), and a little trashy (but in a good way). On the main floor you'll find the bar, a shuffleboard table, darts, jukebox, a couple tables to sit at, and good people. This bar has a lot of traditions and respect for its long time patrons. They often run contests for their guests like the big March Madness shot bracket, measured each night when two shots compete for orders. The second level sports a free pool table on one side, and a lounge area with leather couches on the other side.
The bartenders are always friendly and prompt, and there is good conversation to be had with other patrons.
OK beer selection, lots of fruity and cider options, but also a good array of heavy beers. I enjoyed a hazy Sierra Nevada IPA and then several Odell 90 Shillings.
