Let me start with the compliments, the food is incredibly good and flavorful and you have a lot of flavor options as far as how it's cooked all of those things are great. I can tell you that we had steamed oysters in the half shell and lobster, shrimp, crab, in a kind of low country boil served with sausage, corn on the cob, and of course potatoes. This is a pretty normal thing in the area but they do a nice job of it it's a lovely looking restaurant, my only complaint about the atmosphere is probably the music could be a little less pop and a whole lot less loud it has the atmosphere of like a nightclub which is weird for a seafood restaurant. But if you want a younger fresher I guess more bright lights big city experience in a small town maybe this is for you. I will say that the service will improve I'm sure we were there on the second day of the grand opening and it was a little slow and they didn't bring out all our utensils and they forgot drink some things like that little hiccups nothing major the food came out hot even though it came out late it wasn't like it was sitting out getting cold it's definitely the kind of place you want to go ahead and invest in about 2 hours into your meal not a place I would go if you're in a hurry. However I will absolutely come back and there's a lot more stuff out there to try the fact that they have group around the menu and blue crab and boom boom shrimp tacos and fried oysters and steamed oysters raw oysters I'm saying is a oysters they also have alligators tail there's a lot of interesting food a very reminiscent of days gone by and places I haven't seen in a while. Sorry I got excited and I was a huge run on sentence I definitely enjoyed it it's a little pricey the two of us are meal was around $150 so you can of course eat much cheaper than that depending on what you order I wanted a good sampling of everything they have to offer as I do a lot of reviews I feel like I should give them the fair Shake anyway I would definitely recommend it for a special night out with a friend or a girlfriend or family member birthday...
Read moreThis place has an amazing atmosphere and is twice the size, at least of most crab boil places. There is a full service bar and an event room for special occasions. Our group had nearly 30 people , so we understood the limitations on serving groups this large. The gratuity is 18% included for large groups, even if the bills are split. We had an excellent server. She was truly A1. My only mediocre comment is that with a group that large, she was tasked with taking all the orders and passing them out, with very little help from other restaurant employees. This led to cold food and confusion in special request in orders. I ordered the Gator bites, the original ones came out cold and overcooked. Our waitress immediately attempted to rectify this issue, but I believe almost half the group had problems with their orders. For example, extra butter, no garlic, sauce on the side, extra corn and/or egg, things of this nature. She worked on all of these issues, in a very professional manner, but by the time she was able to get them back out to us the rest of our food items were either cold or already eaten. I also ordered the wings, I will admit they were very good. This was truly unexpected in a seafood restaurant. The chicken tenders on the kids meals were humongous. I will say most of our group seemed satisfied with the food, from the youngest to the oldest, we were celebrating Aunt Thelma's 70th birthday. I wish I could remember the waitress name, she deserves a special shout out, I believe she was a manager, because she suggested our group become the restaurants official birthday singers. You won't be disappointed if and when you come to this restaurant. But if you are in a large group, make sure they assign more than one waitress. After all, that's what the additional gratuity is for, fast, accurate, and professional service. At least make sure they have a runner to relay and transport special request, expeditiously. And bring your credit cards and checkbooks, because you can't leave here without spending a hundred...
