Hog-N-Bones — Restaurant in Waycross

Hi, i am Lui Viruet, one of the owners of Blackshear Taxi Service, LLC. Boy howdy! Let me tell you about this restaurant in Waycross. Today, some family members and I went to the Hon-N-Bones in Waycross Georgia. This was my first experience at dining at this restaurant and I got more that I ever bargained for. First, the barbecue Rib Basket with Golden Sauce, loaded potato, and macaroni-n-cheese withI Texas garlic toast is realty awesome. The ribs practically slide right off of the bones and into your mouth. Mmm mm. Our waitress Paige was very attentive and efficient. Jehovah was really looking out for me by allowing our group to have this delightful young lady to serve our table. You see, I was having what most people would consider to be a disastrous night. It most certainly was not, though. I got locked out of my cab and had th call for road side assistance. After getting back to Blackshear I realized that I didn't have my cash bag or my wallet. I said a quick prayer Andro back to the and bones in Waycross. It turns out I had left my money bag and wallet on top of my car when we drove off I got back to Haggen bones did not see it anywhere. I ran inside and our wonderful waitress young Miss Paige had seen it fall off of my car and ran out there and gathered everything up and held it for me until I arrived back at the restaurant. Let me tell you Miss Paige, I am granting you a free round trip ride between Blackshear and Waycross with Blackshear taxi service I cannot thank you enough and I cannot think the owners of hog and bones for hiring you. Let me start off by saying I have wanted to try this place for a few years now as we have visited waycross to see my wife's family. Well, sadly disappointed. First off, we walled in with only one other person eating in the establishment, so not busy. We walked up and the girl behind the cou ter, as well as the other employees looked and acted towards us like we just interrupted their break time. Next when we finished ordering she asked me if I needed cash for the server. Server, what server? She proceeds to give me the receipt and a number to put on the table. We get pir drinks and sit down amd a young lady brings our food. So, this is the server, that I need to leave cash for? Never refreshes our drinks, never comes to check on us. Yeah, not leaving any cash for this. They could've easily called our number and I could have walled up to get the tray of food myself!! Next the food, and wow. Ok undercooked ribs, and do not tell me these were cooked on a smoker. My kids will eat chicken tenders anywhere, but to have them say Meg, not good. I tried one which was over fried and dry. Bbq sauce in a pouch, and tastes like cattlemen bbq sauce which is used in most places. So, at least my pickles were decent for a side. Can safely say we have ate there and will not be going back. Upon ordering, this place didn't have the place didn't have the large buns for large sandwich, so I had to downgrade my order, as we made our way to a table, literally 80% were dirty. From patrons before us. There were trash and food droppings on the floors underneath the tables and booths. Once we sat down at the cleanest table, we could find. The napkin roll had maybe 7 napkins left on it, so we swapped out rolls from another table. As I went to use the salt shaker, it didn't come out, and the pepper shaker had a hole in the bottom side of it. Of course, I pointed this out to the young lady who was really curious and apologized but didn't bring us a new shaker of either. The pulled pork we got was bland. It tastes as if you would put a pork roast in a crock pot with no seasoning at all, just a little water, and cooked it. I wasn't impressed by the food or cleanliness of this restaurant at all. It's a shame, too, because I'd been wanting to go there for a long time. Disappointing to say the least. We won't be returning. Scotts BBQ in Waynesville has way better BBQ, and it's just a shed and order to go only. Seems we will stick...
