So let me first start by saying that I am from out of town, I live in a little bit larger town about and hour and a half away. When my boyfriend and I started to make our order, and we had a nice guy help us. Super friendly. We get to check out, and our Cashier, Aaliyah, says something that neither of us can hear. She repeats herself and my boyfriend responds with “I’ll have a water and a fountain drink.” Apparently, she asked what food we ordered, because she looked at the counter as if she was calming herself down and rudely repeated “What are these?” Pointing to the burritos we ordered. He told her our order, and both of us felt stupid and belittled. “2 fountain drinks?” She asked us. We corrected her respectfully. She then asked us what size cheese dip, without us asking to order cheese dip. Confused, we told her small. But we didn’t order cheese dip. Our total was 30 and some change, and my boyfriend was getting his bills to pay. I told him he could use two fives, a one, and a 20, and he shook his head at me, as he didn’t have a one. She said, in that kindergarten teacher condescending voice, “The total is $30.83,” with a facetious smile, talking to me. I was already embarrassed and so was my boyfriend, but we were even further mortified when she handed us our change and flung it across the counter on the floor, so we had to bend down to get it. The food was okay, and atmosphere was alright too, but she was very rude and ruined the rest of our afternoon. I rarely write reviews, but I started this as soon as I sat down with my food. Will not be returning, and will warn all family and friends against the Surcheros...
Read moreI was first introduced to Surcheros in 2015 when they were "Rancheros". I gained employment there before I ever even tried their food. But let me tell y'all...once I ate their food...I FELL IN LOVE! It is the freshest and most delicious Tex-Mex I have ever had! Not only was the food AMAZING but working there was AMAZING as well! I was sad to leave in late 2016. Working at Surcheros is like being apart of a family! The management cares so much about their employees! They go above and beyond for hard-working individuals who put in the work. If you are in college (like I am) or high school, they even work around your school schedule (which is so so convenient). After I left, I vowed that if I ever needed another part-time job ...that I would want to come back to Surcheros. Recently, I needed additional job while attending SGSC's BSM program (Bachelor of Science in Management). I was fortunate enough to get back on Surcheros's Waycross Team and I can't wait to be back working with some awesome people who serve an awesome community! Whether you are looking for a delicious meal or employment...Surcheros has...
Read moreMy sister and I decided that we would go and have something to eat at the restaurant! Because I'm not eating any pasta bread for chips! So as I proceeded to get my vegetables which were black olives mushrooms cucumber red onion cilantro which I wanted grilled and a little sour cream! But as the young lady started to get my vegetables out I noticed that she only used the palm of her hand to put all of the vegetables in and I stated to her, you may want to put that on the grill because I would like a little bit more other vegetables but she didn't say anything but continue to smash vegetables! So I give up on it! But the thing is I know that food is costly but my God how costly are vegetables and beans! When I finish paying for my plate it was a kids plate! I paid $7.99 for it! I could have made a vegetable plate at home and called it a day! I remember used to get more for your food when it was under another name oh will I'm done need to...
