I had literally just moved to Manor, Ga from Houston Texas and this restaurant was recommended by one of our moving guys. I cane with 3 people who brood us move across the country and my Father- In- Love, who had driven in from SC. We had about a 25-30 minute wait, it was a Saturday that was ok. We get seated and 3 people are not there yet and we tell our Waiter we are here to drink eat and enjoy one another, as it has been a long 4 days of packing in Texas, driving over 1000 miles, unloading our truck and then enjoying our last meal with our friends before they left the next day. 2 people ordered alcohol and we ordered cheese dip. As that was delivered our waiter pressured is to order. We told him again we are taking our time to enjoy and eat. They had MANY p tables free some that needed to be clean some that were ready to set people so it was not like we were waisting time. When my Husband & Father-In-Love got to us they both ordered an adult beverage and again the waiter pressured is to order. It was extremely rude and frustrating. I felt so bad for my guests I got sick to my stomach and didn't even eat anything! I 😔 one of my friends reassured the waiter he would be compensated well and not to worry we were here to visit. Even the take next to us who was there before us and still there after us made a comment on how rude he was. My friends and family said the food was ok, no complaints however the staff needs some work on their people skills. It was hard to find our waiter for refills and when we stopped other wait staff they were just as spiteful as our waiter. I do pray it was just him...
Read moreThe service was slack when we went in and very rude and pushy. They stuck us (2 people) in a small room with a large and loud adult birthday party, when there were clearly open tables in the main lobby area. Not to mention that it was well below 45° outside and they had NO heat going in this seperated area. As far as the food, their menu is large and rather over done. Way to much to have to choose from, and most of it if u don't know your Mexican food, is unexplained as to what it has in it. I will give them this we stayed simple, and it turned out very good. I had my naughty decadence..flan...love it!! But my happiness with the food was short lived when we got the bill and realized that they had charged some very OVER the top prices for some very inadequate extras....$3.45 for a small saucer of queso dip (not even enough to finish to chips with) or $1.98 for an even smaller bowl of sour cream. Simply ridiculous to think that this isn't price gouging in some way. Neither here nor there, this experience was not worth the $30 we ended up shelling out. I could have went to Taco Bell and got more for my money and been happier with the fact that I was able to get full without taking out a second mortgage. 😂😂 Your choice, take your chances if u like, but don't say u weren't thoroughly...
Read moreLiving in Florida I'm used to Mexican restaurants where the only thing in them from South of the Border is the Tequila. I was surprised when I walked in and noticed that every staff member I saw is Latino.
I was seated in a spacious, clean dining room. A young man brought chips and salsa to my table before my butt had a chance to warm up the vinal seat. Speaking of warm, the chips still were because they are prepared in house. The salsa was authentic and tangy (polite way of saying, I could really taste the cilantro).
Being that it was National Taco Day I had to take advantage of the 99 cent tacos special they were running. The tacos I had were crunchy even though they were packed to overflowing with ground beef and cheese. There was just enough lettuce in them for me to see it but not so much that I could taste it. The only part I didn't like about my experience is that the taco sauce offered came in a little bottle that reminded me of a Tabasco bottle.
My server was prompt and friendly during my visit. I will definitely be returning during my stay in Waycross. As a matter of fact it's my opinion that eating here is worth a drive from Blackshear, Douglas, Alma,...
