The Downtown Sandwich Shoppe LLC — Restaurant in Waycross

I'm kind of partial to soup and sandwich shops. This place doesn't serve soup(yet and may never), but it has a great selection of sandwiches, wraps, and such. Their fries are unique to this location. I prefer crispy, crunchy fries. These fries are not that but the coating on them is...and it is good. This place is located in the heart of the old city with limited parking along the street and they are open only for lunch Mon-Fri. This might prove inconvenient those traveling through, but it is handy for the surrounding shops and businesses. And it would be a great place to eat lunch for folks who are staying in the area for a day or two to see the local sites. I'm inclined to say the food is pricey and there aren't many combo deals, but you really do get what you pay for. BTW, if you require a new, modern, classy building to dine in, too bad. This is one of the older buildings in town and shows its age. The place is solid, secure, and clean, but it isn't new. Actually, I would call it romantic...

I went in to get a quick tuna and fruit tray because I was pressed for time. There were two ladies at the front counter ordering and two ladies on the registers. One employee was helping the two ladies, and the other employee was listening to them ordering. I walked to the counter with the food tray and placed it on the counter with the money in my hand, and stood there for a few minutes. The second employee didn't even acknowledge me. A large group of nurses walked in behind, so I placed the tray back on the shelf and advised the customer behind me. " No one wants to serve me, so I guess...

Best Club Sandwich you’ll ever eat! Clean restaurant, very polite service. Nice and quiet inside, but it makes you feel right at home. All the employees treat you just like family, and Jeanette herself is always right there to greet you! Very reasonable prices, I would’ve thought it would be more expensive for such great food. Short wait time, but I’d advise to use that time to chat with Jeanette or one of the other customers, everyone’s always in a good mood there. Great place to grab a bite on your lunch break or just for a snack while you’re running errands. I wish I could...
