NOT THE HOT N NOW FORM THE PAST!!!! Whoever bought this name has no clue and probably never even ate at the original HN's. That being said, I was excited about this opening and finally got thru the drive thru on the second night after it opened. Waited about 35 mins an hour before it closed. Anyways, the nice lady standing outside took my order and you pay right there. They are trying to keep the line moving by doing this. The menu was very disappointing as it was real simple with not very many choices. The prices I feel were not customer friendly. $2.77 for a hamburger the same size of McDonald's? $2.97 for a cheeseburger? $3.77 for olive burger? $4.50 plus for a double cheeseburger? $5 for a 12oz shake? Note, if you get a combo and sub the drink for a shake they charge you a dollar more and give you a 8oz shake? I can eat at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc, cheaper than here.I spent $36.00 dollars for 2 olive burger combos upgraded to shakes, 2 cheeseburgers, 1 olive burger, 1 fry, and 1 apple turnover.... Ok, I will get into the food. Very disappointed with the food. The meat patties were thin and weren't even close to the size of the bun. Kinda reminded me of a Big Mac patty. Alot of bun though very thick!!! Also, they wouldn't allow any extra items nor onions, lettuce, tomato on the burgers, because they want to keep the line moving. They didn't even put cheese on the olive burger nor anything else but olive spread? OK, they are simplifying the menu to keep the line moving but they are still charging full price!!!! The frys were not the same as before and are thicker than before. The shake tasted like something from a vending machine. The burgers were wrapped in that silver thin foil wrap like you get at a high school concession stand and not marked what it is? Even the bag didn't even say Hot n Now on it. And after all this I get shorted a 3 dollar fry. Maybe it will get better. I don't know and don't care as they lost me as a customer and I could care less if it stays open or not. Maybe they should have just left it in the past as it was great times and memories. I feel they got this all wrong and it is just like a money grab with low quality food service food!!!! You know another thing with all these places is, I never get extra food by mistake but always get shorted by...
Read moreI WARN YOU: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY PEOPLE!! I promise you it's NOTHING even close to the original, and just plain DISTGUSTING!!! We drove about 20 mins, sat in line for an hour and 15 mins only to waste $36 (for 3 of us) on cold olive burgers (Hubby ordered a double and only got a single) The patty is so much smaller than the bun, so you're eating mostly just bun. TERRIBLE fries that were cold and appeared to have been cooked in an air fryer, NOT in a fryer which is extremely weird and makes NO sense, but trust me they were NOT cooked how french fries should be cooked! Cheesy taters were cold, no flavor and also cooked the same way as the fries. Apple turn over looked like and tasted like one of those pies you buy at a gas station in the little box. And finally the soda was flat and tasted really weird. EVERYTHING was distgusting and just a huge huge disappointment!! Obviously NOT just us either, I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting my time because it's very obvious that PLENTY of people share in our opinion! You can't take an old restaurant chain and revive it and NOT have the same food as they did before... People are expecting to get the same kind of food they had before (or at least very close or even somewhat edible) But it honestly wasn't even edible food. We didn't finish ANY of our food and threw most of it away !! 😞 NO WAY you will be open longer than a year. Shame on whoever is running this place and trying to fool people ! I can't even put into words how terrible this...
Read moreSo this was a nostalgia trip as I am sure it is for so many other folks. This place was dubbed cold n later by the community back when I was a teenager in the 90's so my expectation bar was set low to begin with. It's impossible to actually recall with any accuracy what hot n now tasted like so long ago. It does turn out that they never have used deepfryers so the fries, popcorn chicken, and cheesy tots may as well have come from the frozen section of your local grocery store and chances are you could have gotten them crisper than the ones we received today. The burgers are not good either which I expected but worse than that even. I drove past fifty McDonald's to give this a shot and the food would have been fifty times better at any of them for the same price or less. Parking lot and drive thru set up is a mess to boot. Waited 20 minutes to order in a decent size line of cars that moved slow at first but did pick up after a bit . If this food is really an authentic replica of the old hot n now then it's obvious why they bit the dust. If those trying to revive the brand want any repeat business whatsoever they are going to have to make major changes and find out real quick that you can't compete on price with McDonald's and actually be serving anything humans...
