Having gone to Aldo's Cucina a few times prior and having a decent experience, I thought it would be a great place to celebrate my husband's birthday with our family. We arrived on time, with our birthday cake, for our 5:30 reservation for 8 people. As expected, the restaurant was busy regardless we were able to order promptly. The wait time for our food was a bit longer than usual, however, that's expected on a busy Sunday evening. Unfortunately our dining experience and my husband's birthday dinner took a turn for the worse. Waiting 40 minutes between appetizer and entrées was not so bad compared to the way my family was treated after asking to take back our our cold food. Our waiter not only gave us an attitude along with excuses but again brought us out more cold food. We asked to speak to the manager/owner hoping to explain what we were experiencing. When he arrived it was to our surprise he was holding the birthday cake we brought. Our confusion was quickly cleared up once he dropped the cake on our table (in front of my children) and told us "if you're unhappy with our restaurant feel free to go somewhere else." We tried to defuse the situation by explaining we were not upset with the wait time but the cold food and poor service. The owner shrugged his shoulders and said "I've been in this business for 20 years we are busy what more can you ask me to do?"
In addition to offering no solution other than reheating our food, the owner proceeded to roll his eyes at me dismissing us once again. Embarrassed, hungry and disappointed in a local restaurant, we left. Clearly the owner not only showed a lack of respect and concern but was willing to dismiss his customers rather then find a solution to problem while being respectful to his patrons. We will never eat or order from Aldo's again and I advise you to think twice before doing so yourself. Thank you Aldo's Cucina for ruining my husband's 40th birthday dinner...

I was really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. • Service: Very slow. We waited 40 minutes just to get bread, and water was not refilled unless we asked multiple times. It took about 45 minutes just to receive simple appetizers. The only question we were asked was what type of water we wanted—bottle or tap. We weren’t even informed that soda was an option. • Food: Completely underwhelming. My husband’s pasta was undercooked—nowhere near al dente, while mine was dry with barely any sauce on top of the pasta. The food lacked flavor and was not what I’d consider true Italian cuisine. • Atmosphere: It felt like a VFW hall or a high school cafeteria—just a bunch of tables thrown into a room with the kitchen in plain sight. One table was awkwardly placed right by the kitchen doors, meaning staff constantly passed by. The space was so cramped that a nearby group stood up to chat loudly to friends they met for long time in the middle of the room, making the tight quarters even more uncomfortable. • Cleanliness: This was one of the biggest issues. The oil bottle on the table was murky, filled with old twigs and pepper, making it look unappetizing and unclean. Worst of all, as we left the restaurant, we encountered vomit all over the steps leading to our car—absolutely disgusting. The vomit was right out from their restaurant. • Overall Experience: It was clear we weren’t the only ones disappointed, as we noticed meals being thrown away without guests wanting to take them home. That alone speaks volumes.
Between the slow service, bad food, uncomfortable setting, and cleanliness issues, we will not...
Read moreWas extremely disappointed in my most recent visit to Aldo's. My family and I have been regulars for years. We were taking my wife out for her birthday and chose Aldo's because of the good food, friendly atmosphere, and close proximity to home given we having a 6 month old son, with a happy disposition. This would be our 6th time out to dinner, with no previous issues. Upon arriving Aldo, the owner and front of house manager, said we could not have the stroller inside the restaurant and would have to use their old fashioned wooden high chair. The problem being our son cannot sit up on his own. He explained we could turn the high chair over and it would accommodate his carrier. Seeing no other choice we tried this. The high chair rocked and was not secure. We had to keep our son strapped in his carrier and one hand on the high chair at all times. Needless to say our son did get cranky, and not being able to gently roll him each family member had to take turns walking with him during the meal, as to avoid disurbing others who were out for dinner. This was the first time we experienced a restaurant that was unwilling to accommodate a stroller. Unfortunately Aldo's is not an infant friendly restaurant and our family will not return. All that said, our waiter was someone we have had many times before and was great and everyone enjoyed the meal they had order. It is a shame Aldo seems to have become less friendly over the years, perhaps the larger restaurant is...
