Billis Shawarma is a Mediterranean restaurant that offers a delightful array of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Their menu includes a variety of grilled and roasted specialties, each with its unique flavors and preparations. Here's a description of some of their signature dishes:
Grilled Mediterranean Chicken: Grilled Mediterranean chicken is a savory and tender chicken dish. It's typically marinated in a blend of Mediterranean spices, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. The marinated chicken is then grilled to perfection, resulting in a smoky and slightly charred exterior with juicy and flavorful meat. It's often served with a side of rice or pita bread and accompanied by a fresh salad or tahini sauce.
Falafel: Falafel is a popular vegetarian dish made from ground chickpeas or fava beans mixed with herbs, spices, and onions. The mixture is shaped into small patties or balls and deep-fried until they become golden brown and crispy on the outside while remaining soft and flavorful on the inside. Falafel is often served in pita bread or flatbread, accompanied by a variety of toppings such as tahini sauce, vegetables, and pickles.
Gyros: Gyros are a Mediterranean classic made from thinly sliced, seasoned meat, typically beef, lamb, or a combination of both. The meat is usually cooked on a vertical rotisserie, allowing it to develop a flavorful crust while remaining juicy and tender. The sliced gyro meat is typically served in a pita or flatbread and garnished with tomatoes, onions, and a yogurt-based tzatziki sauce.
Shawarma: Shawarma is a close relative of gyros and features thinly sliced, marinated meat, often beef, chicken, or lamb. The meat is stacked on a vertical rotisserie and slowly roasted as it turns. The outer layer gets crispy, while the inner meat remains succulent. Shawarma is served in pita bread or flatbread and is traditionally accompanied by tahini sauce, vegetables, and pickles.
Shish Tawook: Shish tawook is a dish consisting of marinated and skewered chicken chunks. The marinade typically includes a mixture of yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, and various spices. The skewers are grilled to create juicy, charred, and smoky chicken pieces. Shish tawook is commonly served with rice, pita bread, and garlic sauce.
Shish Kebab: Shish kebab is a traditional Middle Eastern dish featuring skewered and grilled pieces of marinated meat, often beef or lamb. The meat is threaded onto skewers along with vegetables like bell peppers and onions. The kebabs are grilled until the meat is tender and infused with the flavors of the marinade. They are served with various side dishes, such as rice, bread, or a salad.
These dishes are not only delicious but also showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. Billis Shawarma is the perfect place to savor these mouthwatering dishes and experience the culinary traditions...
Read moreThis resturant suprised me. I called first to be sure that the restaurant was open. The young man that answered the phone was very happy and excited in our conversation. After arriving, I wondered if I should go in, do to the resturant being connected to a gas station. However, I went in; and I'm very glad I did. When my companion and I walked in, the same young man who answered the telephone greeted us at the counter. This young man greeted us with a friendly big smile, great hospitality, and hilarious conversation. My companion and I ordered Mixed Swarmers Entrees. Mine with fries and his with rice. I also ordered a small Humus. The food was delicious. My fries were seasoned to perfection. If I knew their fries were that delicious, I would have ordered an extra for later. Both plates had plenty of food on them. There was enough to make three wraps per entree. A small Fattoush Salad also came with the meal. I recommend Billi's Shawzrma to anyone wanting tasty flavorful Mediterranean food. I must say tho, don't sleep on them because of where they are. If you do, you'll be missing out on great...
Read moreI don’t like to post negative reviews especially for what looks to be a small establishment but the service I got from this place was beyond undesirable. I called to place an order and the guy did not listen to me and read off the wrong order, I once again repeated what I asked for and he once again made up an order. When my boyfriend went to pick up our food he said no one ever called to make an order and that if someone did he would know so we had to wait for a new order to be made for another 15 minutes. I went inside to correct things with the man and mentioned a new order was placed and he had no memory of my boyfriend making the order and asked for proof and to provide my receipt and when I asked is this how you run your business his response was I’ve been here for 3 years...Well 3 years taught you nothing sir. I wouldn’t be so upset if it was handled differently and I enjoy the food I’ve had from here before but he made me never want to step foot in there for food again as the...
