Packanack Bakery — Restaurant in Wayne

Edit: just tried a cupcake, since we are stuck with them anyway. The frosting on the cupcakes is gross — heavy, powdery, tasteless. Yuck. questionable, dangerous ethics. People with allergies beware. They will gloss over things to get you buy their stuff. The peanut/nut policies were misrepresented blatantly to me. I was told that they are a not a nut-free facility but their cupcakes do not have nuts in them. Any one who is allergic will tell you that same facility and same equipment are two very, very different things when it comes to safety. The following day, we found out from a phone conversation with them that “nut contamination” is possible, which definitely implies same equipment, not same facility. I am stuck with a bunch of cupcakes which I can’t use for my kids school party, both ethically and legally.

I hope the 27 bucks they got out of us were worth ruining a kiddo birthday and/or endangering a bunch of kids. I also hope they do not end up ever killing anyone with a cute cupcake. How do people/businesses like this even live with themselves, is beyond me. I’ll be sure to...

I discovered this bakery too late! We moved to Wayne about two years ago and have started going here about a year ago. We started with the infamous crumb cake and other small treats but recently discovered their donuts...and can I just say YUM! they are nothing short of perfection. The variety of flavors available is impressive for a small bakery, from classic jelly to bavarian cream (my favorite) and boston cream. I particularly enjoy the light and airy texture of the donuts, a testament to the bakery's commitment to using quality ingredients. The donuts are not overly sweet, allowing the true flavors to shine through. The prices for the donuts can't be beat either! If you haven't tried the donuts, get yourself a half dozen and enjoy! Absolutely a gem of a bakery and even though we're on the other side of Wayne, this bakery will always be our go-to as long as...

I would love to give more stars but the environment and their mistake makes me only give 2 stars. I called a few days in advance for a “cannoli cake” for a friend . The lady at the bakery described the cake to have crushed cannoli on the outside of the cake . When i arrived to pick up my cake it was a regular cake with “ supposed” cannoli center but who knows because i never took the cake. The order ticket even said “cannoli” on it. It did not say “cannoli filling” .. anyways the young girl working there was nice and i just so happen to see a cannoli cake in their case and she gave me that at a discount and a happy birthday topper with a discount which was nice but it was their mistake ... honestly i saw bad reviews and still gave them a ship bc i like to support local bakery but it was dirty there and with the mistake i probably...
