I ordered the chicken fajitas at this Mexican restaurant in Waynesboro VA, which is located in a humble area. The portion size was generous enough for two people who aren't big eaters. The chips and tortillas were different than what I'm used to, but the chicken was cooked perfectly with plenty of onions, green peppers, and tomatoes for flavor. The overall experience was pleasant, with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food arrived quickly, within 10 minutes, which was great.
Overall, the food was good and flavorful, but nothing extraordinary or unique in terms of Mexican cuisine. The staff mainly speaks Spanish, but the waitstaff will make an effort to understand and assist you. You don't need to wait to be seated, just choose a spot and sit down. The food is fresh and arrives promptly at your table.
If you're patient and understanding, you'll enjoy visiting this lovely...
Read moreI saw this place in passing and thought it was a Hispanic grocery store. Well, we love Hispanic food, so we dropped in to see what they had to offer and realized their is a restaurant inside as well! Not only did we buy some sauces and peppers, but we got a damn good meal as well! The place was clean, decorated nicely, and even had pool tables! The food was really good. Good portion size for the money with a decent menu to choose from. They probably got what you're hungry for. Now, I think this place rounds out my top three Mexican restaurants in the area! Personally, the nachos Supreme are the best nachos in town! We split an order of them with a couple of tacos on the side, tongue, and head, which were also tasty. You should definitely go check this place out! Pick up some really good food served by some nice folks, and grab some groceries for your own cooking while...
Read moreOh my! This place in incredible! If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, you can find it here. This is the best Mexican food I have had in AMERICA. I cannot believe Mexican food this good is in this town. Not that there is anything wrong with this town, it is just something I would expect to find in a larger city or maybe in El Paso or a town closer to the border. I knew we were in the right place when they did not bring chips and salsa to the table (no yellow cheese either). One note, be prepared to speak some level of Spanish or use Google translate. The waitresses try hard, but they do not speak fluent English. Regardless, a small hurtle for such quality and value. I recommend this restaurant if you want to experience excellent Mexican food without having to...
