“ The Wayne” offers a plethora of entertainment opportunities, in a beautiful renovated theater, at reasonable prices. So many options : plays, concerts, films, dance companies, lectures, art exhibitions, workshops for children, event parties, and school field trips. My wife and I have volunteered several times, and really enjoy the local school kids on field trips ! *
The staff at “ The Wayne” is very helpful, organized, and friendly. They send emails asking folks to volunteer. No pressure. A Volunteer benefit is free admission! 😃👍🏼
We’ve enjoyed all the performances. I close with high recommendations for all those connected with operations & administration at “ The Wayne” ! 😃👍🏼
I have one observation . . . regarding the several performances for student school groups that my wife & I attended:
Wondering why we didn’t notice students of diversity? (We are new to...
Read moreI just recently took my teenage kids to Monday Night at the Movies. We watched The Forbidden Planet. It was a blast! This theater is perfect. It feels big enough to attract talent yet cozy like a hometown theater should. Recently renovated, it’s ready for its second act. The seats were comfortable, the sound was good, and the bathrooms were fancy. No complaints.
My wife and I moved to Waynesboro about eight years ago to raise our family and we have continually been amazed at the quality of life this small town has to offer. We enjoy the natural beauty, easy access to more than enough shopping, a friendly walkable downtown that has steadily been coming to life, and now a live theater. It’s simply terrific! We’re all so fortunate to live here. No doubt The Wayne Theater will once again become part of the DNA of this beautiful town.
Does Waynesboro have an anthem? Golly! I love this place. If it doesn’t...
Read moreOn Friday, May 20, 2022 I attended The Rise Summit Concert. I felt that I was not really wanted there. I was ushered in to the theater to a sit by the usher after giving my ticket at the door. Whenhr I said I was under the understanding that we could sit anywhere she said no sit here with a not to friendly attitude. I feel like we as the group could have been treated better after all we paid to attend this lovely affair. One of the Co-Founders of the event came over to try and explain to the lady that I could sit anywhere that it was in the agreement the usher insisted I sit where she told me which I did. I can’t support the rudeness shown from the staff on this night that I paid to attend. You must do better by people who patronize your business not just until you get the business but all through the engagement, after all WORD of mouth is how you stay...
