Brookside Mountain Mist Inn, located in Waynesville, NC - tucked away in the beautiful NC Smoky Mountains is one of the prettiest towns to visit! ||The innkeepers, Mary and Bill, welcome their guests with a warm welcome and go to great lengths to accommodate every one of them. Homemade cookies, brownies or other delights are by your door every afternoon (who could ask for more, right?)! Their rooms are exceptionally clean, very spacious and quiet. Special requests are rendered when requested! I've stayed here several times, and I can say this about every room and every visit (I've stayed in 4 out of 5 rooms)! ||Breakfast is a delicious treat every morning in the gorgeous dining room with wonderful food and a mountain view to start your day! French toast bake with berries and blueberry sauce, thick delicious bacon and fresh fruit cups; homemade cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage patties; fiesta omelettes, yogurt parfaits and coffee cake - some of my favorites! Mary and Bill do not let you leave the table hungry before you begin your day! And if mentioning my favorites, let me add the salted caramel pretzel cookies too! Ohhhh soooo good! ||Downtown Waynesville is such a charming and beautiful place, with so many shops and restaurants to enjoy. Jack the Dipper ice cream is a must! Lake Junaluska is breathtaking with all its walkways, flowers and beauty, so don't miss it! Hiking, cycling, biking, waterfalls, rafting, golf, festivals, theater, shopping, orchards, breweries (and more) are all here, whether you are alone, with friends/loved ones, with family or on business. ||If you just need a break for rest and relaxation, this is the place! Sitting on the back porch, sipping on a cold drink, cup of coffee or tea and taking in the fresh mountain air is here for you as well! The ambience of the large, open living room is inviting and relaxing to you while visiting also! I've been here to enjoy the fireplace during the cold months, and during the warmer months, to enjoy the cool! Games and socializing in this big room (with a gorgeous view) is perfect for one or a group! Mary and Bill have wonderful "guest closets" for you as well! One is filled with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and sodas, while the other is filled with games, books, movies and entertainment - available every day, every hour!||Gift yourself (or give as a wonderful birthday, anniversary or special occasion gift to someone else)! Visit this wonderful place and have a wonderful experience! You won't...

We spent our 9th Anniversary here and it was absolutely great! Excellent location with wonderful views. Our stay was very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Mary & Bill were the best innkeepers/hosts we have had in the past 9 years of staying at bed & breakfasts. Mary is an amazing cook and makes everything homemade. She is very accommodating to your needs and/or wants. My husband enjoyed the daily morning chats with Bill. The Inn was extremely clean and well maintained. Rooms were stocked and decorated beautifully. The jetted tub was an extra enjoyment to our stay. They also offer a huge variety of add ons (chocolate covered strawberries, snack baskets, roses, etc). I would highly recommend Brookside Mountain Mist Inn B&B to anyone looking for an amazing place to stay while in Waynesville NC.||ROOM: Beautifully decorated and updated. Very clean. Luxurious and elegant. Comfortable beds. Fireplace. Reading chair. Flat screen TV.||ACTIVITIES: There is an array of activity possibilities nearby. You are close enough to all the neighboring cities and towns that you could visit many or all of them on your stay. Plenty of local shopping opportunities, attractions, golfing, etc. Cherokee NC is within a 20-30 minute drive and is a must see and visit. Chimney Rock is another nearby, must see, attraction. The activity possibilities are endless.||SAFETY: Safety was never an issue or concern while staying at Brookside B&B. The neighborhood is safe and well kept. You must enter a code to enter the home and enter a code upon exiting. Therefore, you are always safe while staying at the Inn.||FOOD & DRINKS: Food was exquisite and homemade. Wines available(I opted for the Red Moscato....excellent choice). Terrific coffee. I loved the option of getting to purchase the coffee and Brookside...

I'm going to try to keep this short but if you're not going to stick around to read my whole review, just know you SHOULD go visit this terrific BNB! We visited for my husband's birthday and stayed for three nights. The weekend we were there, Debbie was helping out Mary and Bill and she was one of the highlights of our trip. She helped me plan a couple last minute surprises for my husband, she was extremely helpful in providing us with whatever we needed, and she made check in a breeze. The breakfast here is soooo good. I actually didn't know we'd be getting breakfast haha so this was a great treat! The back patio was a spot we hung out almost every night we were there with a bottle of wine and got an amazing view of the mountains and birds. Our room was spacious, homey, clean. It had everything we needed, and the shower was beautiful! We are coming back in May for a wedding, and we are counting down the days! We got to chat with Bill on our way out and found out he was from the same town in FL as me, small world! Thanks for everything Mary & Bill, your inn is beautiful and peaceful and seriously just amazing....

This was our first time staying in a B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Bill and Mary were great hosts, very knowledgeable about the town. We stayed in the Palms suite and the room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. I was a little nervous as to how quiet the room would be, being it was in a home, but we had no problems. The supply of sodas, coffee, & ice in the shared refreshment area was great. The breakfast were superb. Don't let my photo fool you into thinking it was small, we never walked away hungry. Every afternoon you came back to a nice treat beside your door, a perfect end to your day of exploring. The location of the Inn is very close to town. Some may like to walk it, but it is just a short 3-5 minute drive to the downtown area. Thank you Bill & Mary for sharing your home, you have spoiled us.

Loved my time at Brookside! Without a doubt one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed at. Super clean, wonderful food (creative and delicious!), beautiful mountain views, convenient to dozens of wonderful attractions and things to do... and the nicest and most helpful inn keepers on the east coast, Mary, Debbie and Bill! Plus, how many B&B's have their own pastry chef with experience having been a part of the Biltmore pastry and culinary team! Stephanie is amazingly gifted, combining baking, skill, experience and art! Wonderful afternoon pastry treats ("to die for"). It doesn't get better than this. Left with a very big smile on my face. Looking forward to returning soon!

We had a lovely stay over a holiday weekend. Bill and Mary were warm and welcoming and did a fantastic job. The breakfasts were delicious as were the treats my husband bought as a birthday treat for me. The bed and the furnishings in the room were very comfortable. We slept great! I enjoyed watching the wildlife in the back at various times of the day from the breakfast table, porch, or chair by the picture window when it was raining. The views of the peaks were great. The location is great and close to so many options depending on what you wish to do. We will be back.
