The wait staff are very friendly and the restaurant was clean. The pizza was very disappointing, especially after reading all the glowing reviews. I think my first sign that this was not going to be a great experience was when I walked in the door and did NOT smell pizza. That’s the hallmark of a legit pizza joint. It should smell like pizza. This place had no real aroma and there were diners there eating.

The pizza itself had a kind of tough texture not at all what one would expect from a properly risen dough and a hot pizza oven. That’s what creates a crispy crust almost to the point of char. That’s also what causes the bubbles in the crust that are crispy and delightful. The sauce was good - in fact, that was about the best part. The cheese was over the top, though. There was too much cheese and it caused the crust to be soggy. Also, the cheese hadn’t been cooked enough. It also appeared that the cheese was on top of the meat topping. Either that or there was so much cheese that the toppings sank into it. The pepperoni on the pizza wasn’t cooked enough. Bottom line, this is one step above Dominoes hand tossed pizza. The texture on the bottom of the pizza belied that it was most likely cooked on a baking pan similarly to a chain pizza. I really wanted to like this place and based on the reviews, it seemed like it was going to be good. It really wasn’t, though. I wound up throwing half of the pizza away and regretted eating the half I didn’t. Everybody I met there was very friendly and accommodating, but the pie fell far short of being worth the money. There’s another restaurant in Waynesville that I won’t mention by name that...

It is so heartbreaking when you try to support local business and you are ending up being disappointed with experience that supposed to be a highlight of your day. Just on start my husband was very irritated with hostess attitude that rolled her eyes on us by trying to decide where to seat. Our waitress was very polite and the rest of the service was pleasant but I can’t stop feeling disappointed about the food as well. I will admit that all ingredients on my pizza were fresh but marinara sauce was so bland and not visible with the rest of ingredients that I felt like I would receive very similar product from papa johns. When I saw our receipt I couldn’t believe how much I was asked to pay for Pizza that was eatable but didn’t stand out with nothing comparing it to food chain...

My husband and I have eaten here at least twice a month for the past 6 years and have never had a bad experience until this evening. When we arrived, there was one booth empty and clean. We asked for that booth and we were told by a male waiter "no", we couldn't sit there because it's not in the section of the waitress that is ready for her next table. So, they seated us at a table. But, then the couple who had came in the door right behind us got seated at the booth we had wanted. So, we got up and left. I guess the wait staff there believe it is much more important that our waitress got her table 45 seconds before the next waitress in line than making the customer happy. We will not be back until the current rude and uncaring wait staff is gone. (Not all the staff...

While journeying through the locality, we halted for a luncheon respite on a Sunday. (The establishment opens at 16:00 hours from Monday to Saturday) Our culinary experience was delightful, comprising of the artichoke dip, pickle fries, house salad, and the barnyard pizza. Although the sweet tea did not meet the expected Southern sweetness standard, it was nonetheless palatable. We appreciated the provision of a gluten-free option., atmosphere was convivial, enhanced by the lively banter of families and friends. The only drawback was the slightly sluggish service. This notwithstanding, we would recommend this establishment and eagerly return if our travels bring us back to this vicinity.

Wow, great pizza. The crust had a buttery and light flavor. I ordered bbq chicken, shown in photos. Nice little selection of beers on tap. The servers and staff were so very sweet. From the moment I walked in the door the hostess greeted me and struck up a conversation about motorcycles, which I was riding. My waitress, Christina, was just as nice as could be and actually spent time getting to know me and offered some local tips. There were TV's a-plenty, and good music playing. There was outdoor seating. I have been traveling for 3 days, this was a dining highlight for me.

Great place to eat! We showed up 15 minutes to closing and asked if we could dine in. They happily said yes, no problem. We stayed 30 minutes after closing but they showed no irritation what so ever. We had a cheese pizza, the barnyard (I think - like a meat lovers) pizza and fried pickle fries. Was my first time eating fried pickles and they were delish! The pizza was awesome too. The cheese was tasty and the crust was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Would definitely eat here again if we’re ever in the area. Customer service was outstanding too!
