Love the skatepark. Its a nice little plaza style skatepark. The only downside is that parents like bringing their small children to use it as a playground. Ramps are not slides for children, those would be located in the Tot Lot up the street which is about a 5 minute walk and is designed for small children to play on without them having the risk of getting crashed in to by 160 pound skaters who are NOT responsible for your kids if your kid decides to run out on to the skatepark and gets creamed. Skaters dont have breaks on boards and ive had my fair share of injuries caused by having to avoid kids with small amounts of time to react which almost always results in me or someone else getting unnecessarily hurt since a kid will decide its a good time to run out in front of skaters. We dont want to get hurt and we definitely dont want your kids to get hurt. We also dont want to have to deal with angry parents who get mad at the skaters for said parents kids running out blindly in to the skatepark and getting ran in to and possibly hurt. Theres a lot of blind spots in the skatepark and small kids are harder to spot. I mean, you wouldnt allow a kid to run in to traffic because of the fast heavy cars flying by, right? Well that applies to skating too and i guess some parents dont realize that unfortunately. I wanted this to be known so no more kids get injured when they can simply just go to the park which is within walking distance and have some fun there while the skaters have fun in their designated zone. Thats why they created skateparks. Im pretty sure no one would like skaters coming to the park while kids are there and riding on the apparatus and a skaters board flies out and cracks a small...
Read moreStop bringing your kids to just run around the skatepark as if its a playground and then threatening people when your kid gets hurt because you're a terrible parent. Go to the park thats within view, those skaters arent legally responsible if they accidentally injure your kids due to your negligence and stubbornness, says so on the signs. And since parents want to physically threaten and assault the skaters for being in their own area, expect charges and your photo to be put online for it because its gotten to the point where parents are feeling so self entitled that they act like purposely getting in skaters way is fine on their part but if confronted about it, they want to get physical or disrespectful towards the skaters. If anything, i dont blame the skaters for eventually skating the kids parks and causing your kids injuries because thats what terrible parents have been doing for years at this skatepark and not even taking accountability for it either so yeah, parents who arent skating or whose kid isnt skating are generally considered a problem. Its a skatepark, not a playground, not a water park, not a place to be throwing dirt and mid and rocks. If your kids are doing something wrong and you dont correct them, a skater probably will and getting physical with them will only end badly for you and your kids since the cops always side with the skater since its THEIR...
Read moreThis park is a good little skate plaza. If you're focused you can make some solid lines and link some nice combinations. The only thing that would make it better is a few more 1/4 pipes and a half pipe, and some long round rails (2" diameter rails) because not everyone like square rails and square coping. But a very fun park. Will be going back and...
