Waited a half an our only to be told our take out order never got put in, several large orders got put ahead of ours, and then asked if we still wanted our food. It was the only place open and we opted to wait. We had already spent 60 bucks in the ice cream shop and gift shop and were not in a huge rush. We paid 50 bucks including tip for our grilled panini sandwiches and were assured our order would be coming out as quickly as possible. Another 30 minutes and we were served two of our four sandwiches and told the other two would be right out. As we sat waiting several new tables were served, and other take out orders came and went. I waited nearly another 20 minutes before I went to the counter to ask for a manager, and was handed my last two sandwiches. The young girl was very friendly and apologetic. The young man was very indifferent and told me I never gave him my order slip, but I handed it directly to him while he was at the register. I could find no information on where to contact the owner, I worked in food service for 15 years, and only post here so that someone can hopefully get it together. We travel an hour to visit this establishment regularly, and unfortunately after this will...
Read moreThis place was rude and disrespectful. I wanted to post a Facebook video about the candy and stuff and she said I’m not allowed to and was very rude about it. Now I realize why my boyfriend’s grandma said not to ever go there. The ice cream isn’t homemade it’s just normal ice cream out of a container I can get anywhere else a quarter of the price. The grilled cheese sandwich is also 3 times the price of a normal one. For what? It’s the same thing I can make at home. Or go to in n out and get one like a dollar. I got charged $20 for one sandwich one day no drinks no meal with it. It was a total rip off. I’m glad I didn’t post the video. They didn’t deserve a thousands views I would have got them. The business next door it’s sad they shut down it seemed like a way better and classier place. I wish weaverville had better businesses. This area for business sucks. I promote places like the trinity county brewing company instead and helped pack the house full last weekend…. They are a way better business and respectful and not rude like up north was…. They are also not over priced like...
Read moreThis place is awesome! I wish the website had photos of all the clothing and souvenirs there are, to the left, upon entering the ice cream parlor. They've got everything from Weaverville hoodies, t-shirts, and tanks (some with cheeky/clever phrases) to big foot paraphernalia. Mugs, glasses, and so much more are not mentioned or shown online. I think some of the teeny-bopper staff should use their phone's camera and go nuts in there. I've been there many many times, and the decorations, and trinkets are ever changing, and I love everything that I see! I mean, nobody has said anything about the whole salt water taffy station, for example!! I think with a bit more advertising, this business could be THE MUST-STOP SHOPPE. Fourth of July especially!! I give this place a...
