The food is delicious, it was clean inside, and they have great options for people with dietary restrictions. I got shrimp spring rolls, veggie egg rolls, and a Thai iced tea. The rolls were both fresh and tasted good (though small for the price), but it was frustrating that the small serving of sweet chili sauce I got with my spring rolls was an extra $1.50. It did not say that on the menu, and the setup of the menu (your bao slider/rolls option has an arrow pointing to your protein options, and your protein options has an arrow pointing to your sauce options) leads you to believe the price of the sauce is already incorporated into the price of your bao or rolls. It was misleading and dishonest as sauces don't have any prices next to them. I also wish the menu would state what toppings are included in the bows, sliders and rolls, banh mi, and tacos. I chose the two options I knew wouldn't have additions that I don't like based on other restaurants that sell them, but I would have loved to try the vermicelli bowl if I had known what I'd actually be getting - and I honestly didn't know what I'd be getting with the rolls I ordered other than shrimp and whatever veggies. Some people submitted photos of bowls that look like they have nuts on them, but you wouldn't know based on the menu. I didn't want to have to ask the person at the counter what toppings are on every single meal option, so I played it safe. It would be much easier for someone who comes here for the first time to look at a menu, know what to order based on their tastes, and know what to request is left off their order. The station with water cups, utensils, and condiments is great! I love that to-go boxes are readily available so you don't have to ask for one. I also like that the water dispenser allows you to choose from hot, room temperature, and cold water. I got there a few minutes after 11:30am on a Saturday when they were supposed to open, the doors stayed locked for several minutes, but I just waited outside in their outdoor seating for them to...
Read moreOnline menu shows menu with no GF options. After calling WG location having employee offer some GF options, I was luckily able to get much more exact information from perhaps a manager when meeting a friend there for lunch. The “vermicelli” is the Vietnamese variety (although not clearly stated) and is 100% rice, and much of the protein and some sauces are GF. A lengthy session of questions was necessary to learn what, besides Spring Rolls, we’re options I could safely eat that are GF. A menu update is needed and more specific information to give help to Gluten intolerant clientele. Portions were generous and food was tasty enough, but extra sauce is needed to keep food from being dry, and prices are rather steep for lunch. We were told 2 sauces allowed per person; then each sauce is $1……..for a small container…seems...
Read moreWe went for the first time last night and I'm not sure we will be back. Very casual place were the customers order from a counter and bus their own tables. The young man taking orders had no idea what the food was and when we asked questions I think he just made up the answers becasue we knew he was not providing accurate responses. When we questioned his answers he said he was new and had only been there 6 week.
The food was OK, certainly not the best I have had, but not the worst either. I was a little surprised that after the customers bussed their own table the staff didn't follow up to wipe off and clean the table. We were their chatting for about 90 minutes and never once saw a table cleaned...
