TLDR version: Filthy, terrible service, customer allowed to change dirty baby diaper on the table next to me. When entering, somebody (not sure who) from somewhere in the back shouted, "Just sit anywhere you can find a seat." There were a few open tables, but they were all dirty - no dishes, but had not been cleaned. We sat there for 5 minutes before a waitress stopped by, asked if she could get us drinks... but still didn't clean up. When we got drinks, she brought no straws - we asked for straws and the table to be cleaned and she wiped it once with a wet towel. Fast-forward... my food was missing my english muffin, but the waitress never came back until after I was done eating... and then said, "Oh, here's your muffin." and laid down a check with it. WOW. BUT WAIT, THIS IS THE BEST PART! A customer at a table near us asked the manager, "do you mind if I use this table to change my baby's diaper?" (pointing to the one right behind us, which was being used for wait staff to roll silverware). The manager said, "Sure, go ahead." and the lady proceeded to change her baby's stinky, poop filled diaper right next to both where I was eating and on the table where the clean silverware was being rolled. WHAT?!?!? The whole place was really filthy and the food...

I’m only giving them two stars because of the young lady that eventually helped me …I went in yesterday 9/14 before Work and I walked in and everything fell off. The two white ladies that were waitressing both walked past me at the door neither one acknowledge me or at any given point. After standing for about five minutes, not realizing myself, I walked up to the young lady with the Afro And asked her and she told me to take any seat available. That was literally the first time I was acknowledged within this establishment. After I was Seated the two waitresses continued to walk passed me, even greeted the two white men that walked in the door and stood there waiting to be seated told them to take any seat available within seconds. My point being they were extremely not welcoming, and I felt it in every fiber of my bones. If the young lady, I went to, was not there, I definitely would not have stayed. I pray that the two waitresses learn some sense of customer service, as well as some manners. Would I go back?...

My food was delicious I only rated 3 stars because of service. I was ignored when I walked in. This was my first time here I had no idea you had to write your name on a list until a customer told me. I was never spoke to until my name was called. The place is so cramped with nowhere to wait or walk because so many tables were jammed in. When I finally got a table it took FOREVER for my order to be taken, my food came out fast, delivered by a different server. Then I never saw my server again until I got my bill, which let me point out that we had been done eating for 20 minutes before we got our bill. The guy that was working did make sure my coffee stayed full and was very nice about taking plates off the table. All in all my food was great but I won’t be back due to poor service and very cramped on top of each other space. My anxiety...

It was a Sunday morning and my first visit. This place was hopping and we, party of two, were added to the wait list. I’d say we waited about 10 minutes and got seated. Our waitress (didn’t catch the name) but I should have asked because she was awesome. She was super busy, like unbelievably busy but knew the menu and still took time to answer a few questions without making us feel rushed or like it was a bother. She was cute, funny and polite! The food did not take long to prepare and came out piping hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly and sat atop a mound of chili, hamburger patty, and hash browns that covered the entire plate. Holy sh!t!! It looked good and tasted good. The Boardwalk Cafe is now at the top of my list. They knocked my original 1st place to number 2. I’ll be back for sure!

Solid breakfast joint. Definitely aged, but gives it some charm. Pretty affordable relative to other places and the portions are larger. Food was okay. Nothing wowed me. Coffee was pretty good. Service was friendly, just lacked a little promptness. I am used to having my coffee refilled every 5 minutes at most diners. My cup ran out a couple times here. I recommend this place for a simple and easy breakfast option. We were here on a Sunday morning and I expected it to be packed but we got a table immediately and the place sort of cleared out around 9 AM. Guessing it would pick back up a little later.
