🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Bold New Era at The Rep – Where the Curtain Rises on Innovation, Inclusion, and Impeccable Theatre
The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has always been a cornerstone of artistic excellence in the region, but with the arrival of Danny—the newest and most dynamic addition to The Rep family—and his partner in crime, the ever-talented Kate, the company has entered a thrilling new act.
Together, they have lifted the curtain on a bold, fresh stage (figuratively and literally), reimagining what live theatre in St. Louis can be. Their leadership is magnetic, and it’s no surprise that engagement is up—just like the curtain at the start of every show.
The programming is exceptional: daring, diverse, and beautifully curated. Whether it’s a world premiere, a modern retelling, or a reintroduction of a classic, every production feels relevant, intentional, and infused with heart.
Even more exciting is the evolving audience. The Rep is no longer just a tradition for longtime theatre-goers—it’s becoming a vibrant space that welcomes new patrons, new perspectives, and the next generation of theatre lovers. Danny and Kate are building not just seasons, but community.
What Justin and I especially love is the intimate connection The Rep fosters between the audience and the stage. It’s not just about watching a story unfold—it’s about feeling a part of it. Danny and Kate have elevated that experience, and the result is an atmosphere that’s alive with energy, empathy, and purpose.
If you haven’t already, consider a membership or show your support. This isn’t just another regional theatre—it’s a true gem. And with continued community backing, The Rep will keep producing top-tier, soul-stirring performances for years to come.
Bravo to The Rep—and brava to Danny and Kate for raising the bar and...
Read moreThe play was called Alabama story it was outstanding. It was an interesting story it was absolutely relevant to the time that we are in now and it was extremely well produced. The set was absolutely wonderful and the story was really good. I'm going back on Monday night they are having an open house with the playwright. This conversation will be free of charge and I am confident very educational. Also had dinner that was somewhat disappointing. The flavor wasn't bad but the food wasn't hot. I should have thought about the possibility that that would be true and ordered a sandwich or or Salad something that didn't require good temperature. After all the food is prepared elsewhere by catering company and brought to the wrap and then kept them warm and served when you arrive. It is not prepared to order and that makes all the difference when you're trying to get food of a certain temperature so I order chicken and that wasn't a good idea. However being able to eat in the lobby of the theater before the show is an excellent idea it is so good to be able to go directly to the theater have you dinner Park once not have to worry about the time and weather that you going to get to the theater in time for the opening depending on service and that...

There are plenty of great places to eat nearby before the show - The Block, Cyrano's, Serendipity's. It's a good idea to go early because plenty of other people will have the same idea as you and things get crowded and busy. And parking could possibly be a challenge depending on when you go. You can either pay to park in one of the Webster lots or you can try to find a spot on the street.
As far as the show goes, I'm sure you'll see something wonderful! Every production features Equity Actors, most of which are from New York with an occasional local. And they sometimes use Webster Conservatory students as well.
At intermission, grab a treat from the lobby. With Love Catering always has an impressive selection - cookies, brownie/bars, pastries or even bread pudding! There's also wine and...
